Can't cosign that no classic albums argument. Teflon Don an DTR are classic albums and GFID is shaping to be his 3rd classic.

classic how? are you grading on a curve?

biggie to ross is like lebron to lance stephenson..........this thread should self destruct including the losers saying ross has classic content

we gotta diss my man lance tho?

dont need a curve at all. Your ears and musical palette are not on par with mine so u won't get it. U dont have to though, The albums are classic to me because i still play them heavily to this day even though DTR is 3 yrs old and TD is going on 2

i mean eventually it comes to a point i think. because he has more material, obviously. but no. the impact of Ready to Die and L.A.D. surpass anything Ross can ever have.

Of course Ross can't recapture that feeling WITH YOU. If u were actually there when those songs came out i highly doubt any artist could duplicate the nostalgia u have for those songs.

Its unfair to downplay Ross' music just because u have an emotional attachment to Biggie

i'm not downplaying Ross, i gave Ross credit for the music he's put out in my post if you actually read it. Ross has put out great music for this era, i'm not denying that. And I have no emotional attachment to big, big isn't even in my top 5 if we're going off lyricists. But I can say, Big put out quality music in two albums that became timeless. In that short span of time, Big gave you QUALITY mainstream singles and QUALITY street music. A lot of Ross's joints get put on the back burner after a month or two, excluding "BMF". The man set the standard for every song Ross has put out, from mainstream singles, to songs for the streets. Big set the bar, Ross can only tap it.

i think rick ross has it in him to spit some mind blowing sh!t, he's stuck in the "this is working so i'm just gonna do this" zone though, hope he gets out of that sh!t, its already starting to get stale

some of those songs are mad generic. ross has a tendency to drop corn.

just out of curiousticity, you say ross is top 5, well who are the other 4?

Ross since DTR? I think so.

Ross before DTR? No

Overall GFID might be the indicating album one way or another.

Nah homie Here i Am wouldve definitely been a hit. I know a lot of older folks who love that song. And how do u know who Ross would and would not have had access too?

:comeon:older folks dont like that song for hip-hop purposes.

how do i know that ross wouldnt have been doing joints with people like jodeci & boyz II men? for one, people werent collaborating all willy-nilly like that back then. when rappers did joints with singers of that stature, it usually meant something.

like dude said(and he said this in ross' defense, may i add), ross wouldve been suave house status at best. with that said, ross wouldve been doing collabos with people like johnny p & danny boy. no disrespect to them. they hot. but you get the point.
