Said that Doc Rivers wasn’t the one scared to shoot and missing free throws. Said that Simmons is miscast as a number 1 or 2 and that he’s a number 3. Said that his time in Philly is over and that Simmons needs to work on his game all summer and start fresh with a new team.
I think Philly's biggest fear is that Simmons goes elsewhere and becomes the player that they thought he could be.
I don't even think it's an ego thing with him at this point. I believe dude has some underlining issues that needs to be addressed. To try and fail is one thing, not trying at all though is another.

doc has underachieved with his given talent at every destination he's been at.....except for when he had 3 first ballot hall of famers at one time...along with the 2x coach of the year manning his defensive strategy on the celticsDoc has a championship, multiple finals appearances and deep playoff runs, never missed the playoffs...and we're calling him a bum?
doc is a fukking bum. worst close out game percentages in the history of the league and 4 game 7 losses in a row. Numerous choke jobs cause he lacks the ability to adjust...whether in game or game to game.

He's only 24 (25 next month), so age in on his side in that he might eventually get it together if you figure out the true issue of what's going on. I don't believe it's just an ego and I don't believe it's because he's scared of failing. It's something going on that no one knows about or else it would have been reported years ago.
