Can I lie about organizations I was loosely apart of on a resume?

I would red flag if I saw that, and I know some employers would too. If we saw your page had like 50 friends we're either thinking you're bullshytting or you're weird. Either or.

I straight up say I deactivated it recently, and they can never find me because my name is spelled wrong intentionally on facebook on top of not being able to search for me.

my boss n hr ask me to google search muthfackas and their references all the time. I feel that that sh1t is wrong and random as fcuk. And a violation, because people can be profession even if their social life is weird or crazy.

But I do it.. and yea, there's always that one post on FB (especially for females), that one comment you made on a youtube Video or that one lie that you told on an application that will mess u up.

Ain't no CAC gone hire you if your youtube page is filled up with Malcolm X videos, lol.. and that's linked to you google plus.. then your facebook friends are 700 white hoes. :beli:

In my industry, people get offers before background checks and references are completed.

You could get an offer, and then get it revoked months after you received it. Just be honest.

my real/family page has the name Pedro  that's not remotely close to my real name :troll:

When i was asked about the page i said, "i tried it for a bit but now my kids mostly use it to play games like farmville"
which i do let them use my "phony" FB page for that purpose. :takedat:

I was involved in an interview committee recently, and the woman running it asked the poor fukker is he had a facebook account, and if he minded if she checked it right there.

:dead:

I felt so bad for the dude :heh:

Why did they need to check the persons Facebook?

so the general consensus is dont lie?

It's ok to lie to prospective employers as long as you can back those lies. Don't make them too far fetched.

They will lie to you about the job...telling you how great the company is and how your team is a great bunch. Then you come to find out the reason the windows are sealed is so that no one jumps out them. They'll bullshyt you about that job in a heart beat and there is no reason you shouldn't bullshyt them if it's beneficial for you.

I wouldn't call it a lie. You can stretch the truth by muddying the waters

@BLAZO da GAWD

Someone in my class was talkin about this the other day too:heh: Local recruiters know who hold positions if the club has banquets and recruiting events..so watch out for that.
