Can LeBron really be the GOAT with both 2011 and 2014 on his resume?

Ehhh...2014 that Heat team was on fumes and the Spurs were playing some of the best basketball ever.

2011 is a bad look.

I can understand someone having a problem with 2007 more than 2014. Primarily because LeBron shot so poorly and a couple of those games were close/there for the taking.
stop it. no one watched the 07 finals as it was one of the most foregone conclusions in history(and the suns got fukked by the league). young bron had no chance against a 3 time champ

I always wondered why it’s worse to get spanked in the finals than in the conference finals.

Cause by some loose definition, you would’ve got even worse mot spanked in the finals if you didn’t even make it.

People in sports be like, Brady should be embarrassed cause he lost to the weakest finals team in the SB. But the other guys in the playoffs are fine for even letting them through, make that make sense

But Brady won more than everybody, so it negates that. Bron hasn't and won't. I agree that making it further in the post-season consistently should be commendable, but it can't excuse weird character-defining failures. Nobody holds it against Federer losing in the 2005 Australian Open semi to Safin when both played amazing (a top 5 tennis match all-time). But Federer choking later on too much is why Djokovic passed him.

I'm not talking from a historical perspective, I'm talking from being there at the time and seeing people say these irrational things

Brady got a 7-3 record in the SB plehboi...it's not 4-6

If Lebron was 4-3 it wouldn't be a big deal.

Magic erased that Tragic Johnson moniker by going 5-4...but had it been 3-6 that label always would've been around.

So lets say if he lose in the first rd in 2007 and 2019 it wouldn’t be a big deal:ohhh:.

4-6 a weak argument. He should of lost the weaker East on purpose to avoid Spurs and Warriors clearly better teams?. Why didn’t Jordan make 9-10 Finals but LeBron did. LeBron lost but Jordan didn’t even get there more than 6 times that means Jordan got beat because he wasn’t good enough to meet the Lakers in the 80’s

What MJ series compares to how Lebron played in 07/11?

That's not even the issue. MJ didn't play a zillion seasons on contenders because that wasn't a thing back then. It's like asking why Peja didn't spam more 3s like people do now. Well...he would if he played in this era.

Find me a series where Jordan plays as bad as 2011

2014 spurs teams stars were older than the heat AND they had played almost as much basketball as the heat over a 3 year span ( WCF, Finals, Finals)
