Its seems like there are about 10 of these coming out each month. What is that people like about it?

I personally find the first person view on a TV screen to be unplayable. Every time a third person game has the option of first person, I always stick with third person. Also I don't get whats fun about just shooting stuff all day? :yeshrug: Do these games even have plots and stuff to do other than shooting? I just don't know. The whole genre just seems weird to me.

The only time I can see myself playing FPS is when the graphics becomes so good its indistinguishable from real life and once its integrated with virtual reality so that first person view actually makes sense. Outside of that, I have zero interest.

OP, how about you play one and find out. 10 come out every month but it's obvious you've never even tried ONE with the idiotic questions you asked

I got bored of FPS like 3 call of duties ago. Its more fun being on the mic with your homies over xbox live (no homo) than playing the actually games itself. These days I would only buy a next gen console for RPG's, Madden and NBA 2k. I realize people can argue that Madden and NBA 2k are as repetitive as FPS games but those are real nikka games that never get old :ohlawd:

I'd also like to know why fps are so popular. They bore the hell out of me, especially the single player campaigns. The last time I had fun playing a fps story mode, was Duke Nukem 64 and Halo 1 & 2.

If you've never played a Half-Life game you don't get to say they're boring.
