To be honest I don't even see dark skinned women bringing this stuff up initially unless it's in response to yet ANOTHER c00n hand selected trying to "express his preferences".Some nikkas ain't into dark skinned women, people need to get over itbytching about it is not going to change their minds
Problem is when it trickles down to everyday interactions with some in our community. Preferences are fine but think about how weird it is in a racialized society to hear multiple times in ur lifetime, somebody say "I'm not into dark women." "I don't like dark chicks." And then attach hurtful stereotypes to it. And to be honest it ain't just about skintone.
Even beyond dating preferences, colorism has serious consequences. It's doing a lot of hurt to people in our community. Ain't but so much thick skin you can get before acknowledging that it's a situation.
