How do you "find" good music in this internet era?

Datpiff, for example, has over 30 YEARS worth of music uploaded. More music gets loaded than there are hours in a day. Im pretty sure following blogs is a similarly full time job

So can someone tell me how you can "find" good music in any other way than just being lucky?

For me it's just been thru lucky word of mouth. Wish Datpiff would get the rights to Jadakiss and Lloyd Banks mixtapes though.

A lot of it can be from word of mouth, especially on a forum like this where we're all trying to put each other on to some new and different artists.

I've found some artists I really fukk with through browsing Live Mixtapes and listening to cats I never heard of.

Lot of the shyt you nikkas post is garbage TBH. Whatever isnt garbage is generally . "Yo check out this store brand Nas" I average like 1 new artist a year I actually add to the collection and listen to regularly off of here.

Torrents = ways to get music once you already know what you want

Unless you hit up Pirate Bay, type "rap" into the search prompt and just download the first thing that comes up

- Rap in general is not as good as it used to be, even at its best
- There is so much music finding what little music out there is worth listening to is basically luck

Back in the day you could turn on the radio and hear the best rap had to offer all day every day. Now??? Now???? If youre not an internet nikka, how do you find anything quality out of the mainstream? And how is having to take a full time job looking for good music better than the best music being the most popular music?
