You'd think this thread would be on a more hating tip. Since most of the coli hates anything that comes out of the south today :sas2:. But three 6 are legends and we all know their discography. And always remember to put Oscar award winners when you address them :usure:

At this point you can't deny their impact on hip hop. Syndication has also played a rock in their style knocking down barriers and spreading across the nation.

I already said numerous time HCP/Prophet Posse are one of the most IMPORTANT groups of all time. From Dipset to Crunk Music to now, they influenced them all.

I even made a thread about how Tear Da Club Up 97 is one of the most important songs in Rap as it may be the first song to be on Mainstream media that birthed 80% of the sound in Rap post 1998.

Please stop. The bay area doesn't fukking always influence everything in rap. I don't hear any bay area influence in their music at all.

Lol dudes acting like triple 6 ( the members at least, not the collective unit) were not making records in the late 80s. LA influenced them def but more so from a content persoective and how they structured their songs, and majority of their samples early on were NWA songs outside of the Soul, Rock, and Horror movie samples

Two Parent Households.
@SirBiatch is right. 36 doesn't have any universal classics. Regional classics? Sure.
And hip hop production is as awful as it's ever been. So if 36 is the biggest influence on today's sound, then 36 must have :trash: beats.

What the fukk is a "regional classic"?

Again, Hip-Hop's obsession with classics.

To the topic, Three 6 is a great group with a great discography.

News to me that Who Run It, Hit a Mutha, Late night tip, Tear da club up, and Sippin on Syrup are not universal classics , hell you can even throw Where the Dollars at on there

Yet...the only cosigner to your peckawood drivel in this thread is a CACnadian...a fellow vulture, who like yourself, don't even have the ability to understand the content of the music in the sub-genre that groups like 3-6 & Mobb Deep operate in. Which disqualifies both of you from the conversation anyway.

You crackas got some nerve trying to arbitrate quality to nikkas about our own shyt. :heh:

Talmbout some they "regional" when you can find sub-branch's of 3-6/Memphis sound...a sound that started in the early 90's... in every corner of the country in 2015...from NY to Chicago to ATL to MIA

Yet you can't find sub-branches of Mobb Deep's sound all over the country :sas1:

But i bet you think they have "universal classics" :mjlol: When they had no real sonic or cultural impact on the sound of rap like 3-6.

Nobody wants their music to sound like Mobb Deep in 2015....impact wise they're peons compared to the 6.
