Iraq and Libya didn't get better when the west took out Sadaam and Gaddafi...These people are far far far worse today than they were in the 90s with no end in sight for their misery...Their countries have turned into cesspools of jihadi fueled anarchy...

I'm pointing out that the UN said 250k were in Eastern Aleppo. The flood of people who have left is hitting only around 30k.

Journalists last year in E Aleppo said the place was empty. An independent estimates of the real population in east-Aleppo comes from Martin Chulov, a journalist for The Guardian who has visited the area ten times since it was occupied by rebels from out of town. After his last visit he estimated the actual number of inhabitants to be down to 40,000.

Mainstream media was only listening to groups like the White Helmets inflating the number.

The U.S government has had active destabilizing agents in play in Syria from the mid 00's, you thought the Arab Spring was organic? it was an exasperated movement. Assad chose to confront this with brute force and for that he has blood on his hands, but i believe he's better than what the alternative would have been, we've seen this everywhere in the middle east, where more extreme forces come to power in a vacuum when the previous regime has been toppled. I won't even get into the present day proxy war and the legitimacy of his regime over globally funded and armed terrorist.
