It gets edged out by the cohesiveness of 'The Sun Rises In The East' for me. IMO 'Hard To Earn' was Primo's peak - He was on an entirely next level. Only beats he ever made that could have topped any of those 3 albums, were the ones on Illmatic.

He should have gave the beats to Nas.
These beats should have went to a lot people, but they did not. It is what its. It was still a great album regardless. The real question is, why the fukk has not any rapper jacked some of the beats for a mix tape?
Seriously, Why has not a rapper to this day not snatched at least one of the beats?

People may disagree but I think Lil Dap and nutcracker were perfect for these beats. Their voices fit the sounds perfectly. Desperate, hungry, downtrodden.

Why would a rapper jack already solidified, classic beats? They won't make the beats any more memorable than they already are. And lots of MC's have rhymed over these beats btw.
