Can we talk about why the black family is still broken? Crack happened in the 80s and its 2018 now.

I will use my insight as a breh who is engaged to the mother of my daughter.

Everyday is a struggle. Just keeping it a buck. The fact I have a great jon after busting my ass for four years and two ears of grunt work for experience makes me semi resentful I don’t get to enjoy the full fruit of my labor ( yes I know I know I chose to have a kid)

Coming from a semi broken home I will be damn if I leave my family.

But if I were a weak willed or broke breh I could see how social media/limited jobs/growing feminism can make SOME dudes leave they BM or not start families at all.

It’s crazy the amount of times I have to check my girl, even though I am the most laid back person on earth because she wants to keep up with the joneses or tries to run the relationship on my dime.

My cousin himself literally had to move away from his wife because she would use the police as leverage when she doesn’t get her way on some silly shyt.

Add in the fact that women are easier to get as ever and men are only as loyal as there options.

Not blaming BW but it all boils down to that at the end of the day to a biological level. If females said only dudes who owned businesses pulled. We would see a million percent increase in black business owners.

tL/DR

Black nuclear Family Structure + Black Businesses and Job Availablity - social
Media interaction and outside influences= a successful black community.

Why is it taking us so long to get our shyt together? The natural togetherness of family is the the true strength of any race. If we don't fix our family issue first. Then we'll never be able to fix the black issue. These black babies will continue to be drowned in hate and the cycle will never change.

You answred your own question really. Two generations of Black families were decimated by crack. You don't just rebound from that, especially when most Black people don't even understand how scientific this shyt is.

Above the fray.
I was listening to a breakdown of the Moynihan report from 1965. The majority of reasons for the dysfunction in tge black community is explained in detail within that document.

The main issue is the declining presence of fathers in tge community. Its a must read for women and teenage men to properly prepare the next generation.

When you ask people to read, you are basically calling their bluff.
Those who don't learn from history are bound to repeat it.

This was a 1986 pbs special, one of many that were inspired by, based on, or discussing the Moynihan report from 20 years earlier.
Was filmed in the city I grew up in, and a guy from my middle school appeared briefly in it.

I don't think you understand the depth of that issue to talk.
Actually you right 100%. I was born in 98 so i hardly got to see the after effect of the 90s more so the effect of the 80s. But what i can say, that every friend I had in my life including myself has had a broken family. So maybe I'm not qualified to talk on the before but im definitely qualified to talk on the now.

Basic finance broke people cannot coexist with each other. When there is no money in the house the family feud.

Additionally, people are diminishing the value of healthy marriages by equating long term relationships & cohabitating partners as the same thing. It is not.

Also, the definition of a man used to be someone that takes care of his wife & family. Now it’s based on how much money you make & stunt with. The irony is that black business ownership is down so we are really celebrating an overworked man who makes someone else rich.

Women have almost completely disregarded the power of womanhood & femininity in favor of negative male traits that even men shouldn’t have.

This is all generally speaking, of course.
Elite level posting:wow:

Repped.

Like other posters have said though, none of this happened by chance. The black community's dysfunction is the product of failed social experimenting and a legacy of racism.

Luckily the major problems that black communities suffer from are coming soon to a white community near you:mjgrin:

Aside from the stuff that was already mentioned here, why do you think the effects of the crack era have ceased to exist? It was a massively traumatic time for the black community, the kids birthed from that era are only recently becoming adults and some are still suffering from ptsd like effects, among other un-diagnosed mental ailments, and are now passing the trauma down to their kids. People growing up without a nuclear family in place because parents were in jail or addicted, so they were left with no guidance and susceptible to make similar mistakes as their predecessors. The crack epidemic was bound to have a multi generational effect before it completely tapers, not to mention drugs are still an issue, it just shifted like @Papa Shango in the flesh said.
I was just watching new jack city and you wouldn't believe how mad it made me seeing pookie like that. Aside from the movie stuff, I seen my fair share of crack heads where I grew up and I have to say it's horrible how we was taught to make fun of crack heads instead of embracing them and realising they need help.

At the beginning of mean streets
Sex. People need to stop fukkin until they fukk the right one for them

Women having sex with men they don't love and dudes creating children with women they don't wanna have children with
It’s too accepted. I’ve even seen other non black communities do this. There’s a (white) Puerto Rican lady I remember from back in the day who used to be real cool with my mom. All her kids have out of wedlock babies and she’s so proud of it.

They live under her roof except two are in prison (one did time with my brother) due for release soon and she seems broken. Slavery shifted to mass incarceration and split up families. That spilled over to Clinton’s welfare policies whereby those living in public housing that commit crimes are kicked out.

Appreciate it, def gon to watch that video. I'm personally an humble man but i have to say im different for my social class/generation. I read alot. Im currently reading "the prince" right now. I hardly watch tv and when I do. It's usually some type of movie where wisdom is being conveyed. But i will definitely research that Moynihan report so i can get a better understanding of my question.

Amerikkka is broken period

I do business with cacs. Its a lot of males who just dont want families anymore. A broken house hold is the norm now.Its only gonna get worse
.

I blame it on social media/music and instant gratification.

This is true. Recently I read a story about how many White kids are now being raised by their grandparents, which made me realize that broken homes are becoming the norm in the USA.

The grandparents raising heroin's children
