just a Google search but hopefully it helps. I don’t know Texas but a lot of states have hold you over programs designed to help people about to lose it all but on the verge of a rebound.

Also if you got a job see if you can get a pay day loan. It sucks but get what you can get. Lastly someone else said it but try to drive Uber or do food delivery on the side.

also if you got actual proof you got fired because you are black you can sue your former employer. It’s worth seeing if maybe you send them a demand letter if telling them you will sue if they will settle out of court for some bread.

NYC is not texas so I don’t know if local law will support that but title 7 still exist. If there are free legal aid lawyers it doesnt hurt to sit and tell‘em your case. You just got to have proof not a gut feeling.

I'm trying to get today settled at least before I can try more of those, but it seems like every time there's some type of program to help people there's always a catch before they actually offer the help you need
