Guess you would have to read the reviews.

As shaky and unfocused as “Captain Marvel” often seems, it manages to reach its destination with confidence. In the end, Larson sticks the landing, albeit with something more muted than absolute triumph. The final takeaway is clear. Mission accomplished: More movies ahead.

Still, it’s fun for fans, a place-setter for Endgame, and if you don’t care about seeing Marvel raise the bar past Black Panther, you will get your money’s worth.

Both are 50%, so they get a passing grade. Which is why RT is a joke. A movie shouldnt be “certified fresh” if its a 5/10

After the recent Star Wars movies both The Last Jedi and Solo came out.. most critics gave them a passing grade. Most people on here either hated both movies or thought they were deeply flawed. So they started being like "man these critics... " Now there are arguments all over the place.. for the most part people just use critics opinions to justify their trolling
