I thought Golson had been good for FSU this season?

Anyways, I don't consider Notre Dame a spread-option offense. They seem to be more of a pro-style spread.

He's been horrible on the road, see games at Gtech and BC for reference..His nail in the coffin came last week with 2 ints and a fumble the 1st qtr...i think we were better off with Smag/Consetino the beginning of the year simply cause they knew offense..we skated by with Golson the first couple of games cause of comp but when shyt got real golson lack of knowledge of the offense showed.

:what: The passing game in Urban Meyer's gimmick spread offense is WAY EASIER than in a pro-style offense. If Cardale couldn't execute Urban Meyer's passing game, what makes you think he'd be good in a pro-style offense?

LMAO @ the depths of this shytty ass post. Nikka swear he know what he talking about :mjlol:

:usure: I do know WTF I'm talking about. I'm SMH reading this thread, because nikkas clearly don't know WTF they talking about.

Here is a good article that explains the diffrence between a pro-style spread (2nd generation) and a gimmick college spread system (3rd generation). Link: The future of the dual-threat quarterback

EDIT:
:ohhh: I just found this article from September where Urban Meyer claims they are no-longer a spread option offense & have moved towards to more of a pro-style spread system this year:
Urban Meyer says the read-option is no more for Ohio State during his weekly call-in show

:martin:

I never said how good Cardale would be any offense. I just said he is prostyle qb, which he is based physical attributes, and skillsets. Again he was recruited by Tressel to run a prostyle offense.

Difference between the offense JT runs and Cardale runs is they took out the read option when Cardale started and called less qb run plays

Honestly dont think Jones' draft status really changed. He's a late round flier and was one last year too. No one was picking a guy with 3 career starts.

FSU caught a break with Jameis...... Outside of him, what respectable NFL QBs has Jimbo, or FSU been responsible for.....?

On the collegiate level... EJ was ok, the old man was ok but overrated... who else has there been in the last 15 years?
Don't matter. Name of the game is convincing them he can get them drafted. EJ killed the whiteboard. Jimbo can't help he and Ponder and Russell were trash

:ehh:It makes sense they would switch up the offense to more of a Pro-style spread for Cardale since he has NFL aspirations & almost left for the NFL after last season.

Where is Braxston Miller involved in all this? Is he still recovering from his should injury?

Braxton switched to reciever because he doesn't trust his shoulder to throw and give himself a better shot to play in the nfl

Came back to school for no reason... could a been a 2nd round pick last year., had the scouts overlooking his flaws because he had potential

Now He'll be lucky to get picked before the 6th. Wouldn't touch homeboy at all.

Urban ain't shyt for letting this Nikka come back...
That's rough. But you saw it coming. That 3QB system and camaraderie can be good when you're well on your way to an NC and wreaking havoc on the way there(beating Bama etc) but all it takes is one loss and feelings are let loose...
