No its not. Son there is hip hop classes that teach u how to structure hip hop bars. Some people dont know when to stop rapping. And the actual structure of a song. Especially rappers who battle and freestyle. They rap for different reasons and that's why the songwriting comes second for alot of them.

For one. Not anyone can write dope rhymes. I hate when people minimize writing in this way. And second. DOC didnt teach Snoop how to PERFORM his rhymes. He taught him how to structure his rhymes for a song. Teaching someone how to structure songs and make songs is not the same as writing songs for them or teaching them how to rap. U gotta learn songwriting from somewhere. Some people learned by studying song structure themselves. Such as myself. But some people are taught because they were never interested in learning song structure. Just spittin bars. Jam Master Jay taught 50 Cent how to structure bars for a song. Cause when 50 sent him his demo it was just straight rappin mad bars. Jam Master Jay wasnt a damn rapper or writer. Lol. Swizz Beatz had to teach Cassidy how to create songs cause all he used to do was battle and spit bars. Swizz is a producer. That's his job.
