You're talking about becoming a lawyer. Does that apply if you had an interest in being an detective?
do you need a law degree to become a detective? I thought you just needed a criminal justice degree and some cop experience.

pass a test, and work your way up(promotion through department) OR you could if you don't want to go through the police academy and work as an officer first then you start out as a private investigator.oh so you good then, what stopping you?No. From i read you either have to start off as a police officerpass a test, and work your way up(promotion through department) OR you could if you don't want to go through the police academy and work as an officer first then you start out as a private investigator.

For most of you what is the reason you're in the job/career you are? Is it for the money? Is it your passion? What?
The reason I ask this, is I have my degree, but i've come to realize there's in nothing in my field (Communications) that really truly interests me. I know for most of us, none of us truly love our job, and we simply do it to make a living, but idki'd just to hate to do something i hate for the rest of my life. Right now i'm doing a part time job in retail until i find something permanent, and i go there and realize there are probably people there in their 40's and 50's that are miserable, but are only there for a check. Even a man in his 50's who works in my department was talking to me about talking about how it's a good thing that i'm still young and that there's "no future" in this. SMH...Idk i just want to wake and love what i do, and the life i live. *Shrugs* but hey maybe i need to just come to terms with reality of life

I'm not completely sold on that idea. I really want to pursue acting, even though it's a tough road.
