OKC was not disloyal to Kanter, shyt is nothing like the KD situation or the reverse of it, people need to stop playing dumb.

OKC wasn’t disloyal and neither was KD

There is NO SUCH THING as loyalty when it comes to professional sports. Point blank period. I learned that when I was a kid and Atlanta traded away my favorite all time player Dominique Wilkins for Danny muthafukking Manning. Kanter
got his wake up call and I don’t believe he deserves to be clowned or anything but I hope he takes heed.

I mean KD hasn't seemed to gotten over it so it's only fair it's still discussed
You don't think he's sick and tired of defending the move? I really haven't been following what's he's said/posted because it's just noise to me, but I'm sure he's not the one actively going out and dredging shyt up, all I see is him defending the move.

I have no idea why so many people dislike this trade

I loved OKC just off RWB, PG13, Roberson, Pat Pat & Adams...........They were a top 5 defense and number 1 rebounding team that got rid of a guy in Kanter who could score off the bench but was completely unplayable in the playoffs because he couldn't stay in front of anyone. Teams would call for the switch and he'd be food.

OKC now has shooters on the wings while maintaining the same defense and rebounding presence...

I felt they were a step below GS and probably the 2nd or 3rd best team in the league before this trade......now they're even better.

I disagree. KD was disloyal, way before free agency. The disloyalty didn't come from him going to another team. It came from him being compromised. Ain't no way in hell you can tell me he hadn't made up his mind about going to GSW. Ain't no way in hell you can tell me that consciously, or unconsciously him pow wowing with them nikkas all year didn't have an effect on his performance. The main choices were either win and stay, lose and go. They win, it makes it that even more of a big deal to get all the way to the finals and dip.

Then the situation with Russ, which can't be looked at as the same as Bron and Kyrie puts the icing on the cake.

He jumps on the bandwagon, gets his bullshyt ass ring and continues to throw his old team mates under the buss. That "no loyalty in sports" shyt doesn't apply here. Dude is a herb, period point blank. Even he knows it.

Disloyal to Russ? Yes.. disloyal to the organization? Not at all.

I would say both.

It's clear he had already made up his mind as to where he was gonna be playing next year during the conference finals. That is what you call a conflict of interest. Consciously or unconsciously he was compromised.

So I don't think it's a question of whether he was disloyal to either...he was. Whether OKC or any ORGANIZATION deserves loyalty from NBA players is another story. I don't think any player is necessarily beholden to any team...

Acknowledging a conflict of interest and relationships with players/coaches/execs that could be having an effect on your play is different from saying this or that player is obligated to re-sign with a team.

Him being an Herb and him being disloyal are two different things

I agree that KD is weak minded. This recent Twitter Fiasco all but proves it. But let’s not act like these organizations don’t “compromise” players all the damn time. Hell, the Lakers JUST received a 500k tampering fine for being bold with the PG recruiting. Bron, Wade, and Bosh colluded to play together in Miami. And by all accounts, Bron is already out the door at Cleveland after this season.

This shyt HAPPENS breh. It’s a factor of professional sports.

KD dont owe Russ shyt. And vice versa. Russ ain’t his blood family and Russ ain’t donate him
No bodily organs so KD, as a grown ass man doesn’t owe any explanations to another grown ass man about where he goes. Bron didn’t even tell Wade he was going to Cleveland. This is the reality of sports

KD’s ONLY problem is the way he’s personally been handling shyt. The nikka got a ring and a finals MVP trophy, and by all accounts, has been accommodated every step of the way by Golden State. So him “clapping back”’on Twitter at Cacs and 14 year olds is supremely stupid. And he shouldn’t have thrown Billy Donovan and his teammates under the boss like a little bytch (even though a lot of fans and writers have been saying the same thing the past couple seasons)

Him doing all that herb shyt is just confrimation of all the herb she he pulled before the move.

Again, KD was 'compromised' in the sense of, there was no way his relationship with GSW's players and staff didn't have some sort of effect on his play. THAT'S where he was disloyal to the organization, not when he declined to re-sign with them.

He wasn't obligated to re-sign. And even though it would have been the stand up nikka thing to do, he wasn't obligated tell Russ. Loyalty is not an obligation, it's a choice.

But during the WCF, he was NOT fully locked into beating the team he was looking to join, I refuse to believe that. It would have made his exit even more complicated than it already was. He DEF owed Russ that much. And I'd be willing to bet THAT'S what pisses Russ off more so than him choosing to go to another team.

Now THIS I agree with....

But if we get into this and possible other stars and players who allegedly have done this we are going down a deep rabbit hole indeed...
