MELO HAS A NO TRADE CLAUSE.

THE SPURS WERENT ON HIS LIST.

while this is true, it is subjective. had they not been able to strike a deal with OKC/Cleveland, they wouldve asked Melo to add more teams to his list. This is why OKC/Cleveland got re-added in the first place because the Rockets couldnt put together a deal. All these teams were on his "soft list" to begin with and all of these scenarios had been explored already. The Aldridge deal was discussed in July.

smh. I think this team will be very good this year. possibly great. whether they can contend with GSW isnt reliant on talent, rather coaching and roles of everyone on the roster.
Same here...I hate the phrase "There's only one ball." Or "they all need the ball" but like others have said Melo and George can both catch n shoot so you can't really sag defenders off them. They'll all make the game easy for each other. And I think them seeing how GS succeeded by sharing the ball will make them do the same.

All these player have shown they can put up numbers. Melo, Russ, and PG all want to win and they all have been in positions where they've tried to do it alone. The past "super teams" have worked out well, I see this being no different.

Will they beat GS probably not. But GS ain't gonna be able to completely focus on Russ like they did last season. Can't wait to watch. Got me hype just thinking about that game:whoo:

I bet on Okc every year to win title in Vegas. I placed $30 on them to win ship...This was before we got PG13. Odds were 50/1 :russ:

Now after PG13 added and Melo its already down to 18/1

:blessed:
Im trying to eat this season:feedme:

Somehow my pops friend went to Vegas. the year before the mavs won the title and dropped 10k on them to win. Then they beat bron in the finals.
So, I know it can happen and is a real reality.

OKC’s starting 5 is the 2nd best in the league. But that bench is trash. Patrick Patterson is their best bench player, then after that it’s Abrines, Felton, Grant and some young guys

all of these guys had a lot of individual pressure in their past roles. now their pressures will have a lot of relief. I think what people forget is, the versatility. Melo and PG13 can play multiple positions. Melo at point forward with PG13 in the lineup could be a problem. My biggest concern as far as roster is how well the backup PG's can do. I do think all of these guys will be a little more unselfish. I think they will understand they have to be.

i don't understand why dudes hate melo so much

when you find out, let me know. he isnt Lebron or KD but its like he is getting too much disrespect and I think he will respond very well to it. he isnt the same Melo as in Denver, but he doesnt have to be when he has this much help. he is still a matchup nightmare.

Bruh! Folks really saying OKC didn't improve by replacing Kanter and Doug McDermott with Melo:mjlol:

How can people watch the NBA and make statements like this?

OKC is clearly the number one threat to GSW. They have the best combination of offensive firepower and defensive personnel.

My main two concerns with OKC is will Russ be an effective leader, and how will Donovan run the offense.

They need to play a San Antonio styled game where everyone does everything, and sharing the ball.

If it's not Team ball movement focused, this will dissapoint me.
