Neither PG or Melo is KD, stop it.

PG is mentally weak, but an excellent player. He's all but gone after this year no question.

Melo is washed up, but an excellent shooter still. A strong distributing point gaurd can make him great, which we all know Westbrook isn't.

Its will be interesting seeing their styles mesh though. I still like the Rockets better. Kanter was one of their main players as well. The loss of Kanter will hurt them greatly, especially defensively in the post.
The WOAT.

Has everybody forgotten these 4 key things:

1. Melo can't come up big in key Playoff games. He's a ballhog who can't kill. His Defense is non-existent. He looks amazing in offseason games with nothing on the line or in the 1 game per season before the All-Star game where he goes off.

But a Playoffs Game 7 needs more than you hogging the ball, ignoring players who are feeling it (he infamously screwed the Knicks by shooting bricks in the 4th quarter when JR and Schumpf were on fire in the 3rd quarter.. they lost that decisive Playoff game).

Short version: nikka can't deliver when it matters. Great offensive player when it doesn't matter.

2. Paul George has a horrendous record in Playoff crunch time.

I read a stat in the last playoffs: Paul George is 0-of-15 when the game is under 30 seconds and the difference in points is less than 3 points. Translation: nikka can sit up there all day talking abou 'I should have taken that shot' but the FACTS are that he really should not take those shots.

Short version: nikka can't deliver when it matters. Great offensive player when it doesn't matter.

3. Westbrook mixes with PG13 and Melo 13 like a t-shirt can mix well with a wall...

This is going to get hella ugly in the Playoffs.

They may light up the Clippers during the regular season, but in the Playoffs when an already badly organized offense is even more out of whack.. this won't work.

4. Donovan runs an offensive that can literally be described as 'Pass to Russ, pray Roberson hits a free throw'. There's no system. Their last games showed some of the ugliest basketball all year. We all love Westbrook's game, but the Thunder has no strategy and they don't have a plan.. also on Defense..

This will get ugly.

There will not be a Thunder Warriors final, and if that miraculous situation happens: sweep time. But it will never get that far.

Does anyone realize all these trades were possible had DURANT stayed. Confirmed an even bigger bytch as he just jumped ship from a team that was willing to do anything to win. :mjlol:
:gucci:

Durant has a ring you dumbass. And why would they trade for PG and Melo when they occupy the same positions as Durant? Think before you post next time.

fukkery :wow:

I personally don't see how those 3 are going to gel against the best of the West but we will see. :lupe:
They'll be fine. As it's already been mentioned in here Melo and PG are two of the best spot-up shooters in the game, and having three elite (or near elite) scorers who can create their own shots and spread the floor is only going to give them more space to work with. Melo's at an age now where he knows he has to take a back seat for things to flow. The whole "three players who need the ball in their hands to be effective" thing won't be nearly as bad as folk are making it out to be.

Russ, PG and Melo > CP0, that floppin fakkit and Melo.

What? Marion was a spot up shooter in '11?

No, he wasn't. In '11 he was scoring in transition, cutting, on the offensive glass, and he had a post game with a good hook shot. He was nowhere near the shooter he was in Phoenix.

D'antoni changed Marion. His first 3-4 years in the league, he was an excellent mid range shooter.

Shot was funky, yet efficient. He rarely shot 3's.

D'antoni turned him into some kind of hybrid stretch 4.

It was good for his stat sheet, but that mid range J fell the fukk off.

Breh was putting up 22 & 12 off fastbreaks, 3's, and lil runners in the lane.

GOAT rebounding SF IMO....We'll probably never see another 6'7 SF average 12 boards a game
