We've seen guys who are better at scoring (Mike, Kobe) who do more for their teams (Bron, T-Mac, KG) get heavily criticized (all of them took more heat than Melo has ever taken) for team failures with less talent than Melo has had throughout his career. I am not a person who believes you should put shyt all on one guy but we can't forget that the Knicks gutted their team for the nikka so you can't really defend him with the teammates angle. Beyond that he's had Chauncey, Amare (who was playing much better before he arrived), and Tyson while in NY and the best you can come up with is a 6th seed in the East.
My big issue with Melo is that all he does is score and 9 years in no scoring title.

No way can you be the best scorer in the L without one scoring title to your name in 9 years. Lemme guess that's his teammates fault too right? Being a great scorer is one thing and Melo is most certainly that. However being a great scorer while not dominating the ball and getting others involved is what winning basketball is all about.
