It was over for him in Philly when Foles won that SB. The only way he could've saved himself is if he took them right back to the SB.

I don't believe he's trash tho. I believe he and Trevor will have some battles in AFC South.

Some QBs rise above their shytty team, while others need the right environment and system. The later are the majority of players too.

No matter how good a player is, unless they're placed in a situation that absolutely suits them, they will struggle.

Imagine Tom Brady rookie year he being with a coach who didn't like him and ran a offense for mobile QBs. Imagine Michael Jordan on a team where he was relegated to 3rd option and benched if he tried to shine?

Both players would be what we see in other players who have the tools...but something just isn't clicking.

Barring injury, Wentz about to beast again in Indy. At one time his completion percentage was like robo QB on Madden.

The majority of players don't get $100 mil guaranteed. They don't get chance after chance without production. They don't get to replace a starter that was a major contributor to a SB win just because. Looked pretty suitable when he was in the MVP race and the squad won a SB with him on the sidelines. What you are describing in the exact opposite of what happened with Wentz, they catered to his ass despite having a SB MVP at QB on the roster. QBs are the only players that get these kind of pleas for this long. Dude gonna be 35 still getting by on being tall and white and playing QB.

I like this on both sides...

And Wentz will return to respectability in Indy or his career as a starter in this league is over, book that. This isn't the Eagles----->he's going to The House that Peyton Built with The Franchise that Unitas Built, you're not getting a long leash here. This organization is used to All-Time quarterbacking, seemingly kept tradition going with Luck. You can't flop here...

And I'll go on a limb and say he will not flop here. I dont think he's one of the best QBs in football but he'll be more than respectable and the Colts draft and build well. I expect him to have a pretty long career with Indy assuming he regains confidence and some of his form with Reich...

It was a great decision to move on from Wentz since he didn't wanna be there but I dont trust management otherwise. Hurts isnt it, but I can appreciate he's now getting his shot!

The 2022 pick is probably a 1st round pick if Carson stay healthy.

Philly having two 1st rd picks next year. :unimpressed:

I've been asking this same question since last off-season. Especially after giving him an extension at the time. And nevermind that we just drafted a QB last draft :snoop:
He’s trash and Eason is an unknown

Both teams took an L. Philly stuck with 30 mil in dead cap and Colts sign another aging overrated cac QB who wont win them shyt. Granted, they didnt give them much for him but still.

Philly makes no damn sense with their moves. They fire Doug because he was in favor of Jalen but management wanted Wentz and then they go and trade Wentz. :dwillhuh:
It does feel like both teams waved the white flag and went on ahead got it over with. Spring break coming up.

Firing Doug because he wanted Hurts was media hoe babble. Lurie literally called Wentz a trade asset during his press conference about Doug.

People who are plugged into the building all said the same thing a week before the story hit ESPN and major outlets : Lurie did not want to fire Doug, he wanted Doug to embrace a fresh approach on offense after years of regression and trending downward, Doug wanted to double down on his guys and promote from within a staff that oversaw a WOAT 4 win season. They couldn't come to an agreement so they parted ways.
