The question is why is it 'surprising' ...
It's not surprising to me. He hasn't been spectacular. Just solid.

22-7 and 98.3 passer rating is better than solid.
He's got game breakers all over the field. Again, perfect situation. Shurmur might be the best OC he's had playing with the best talent he's ever had too.

Like who?? Mariota?? Phenomenal athlete whose struggling this year? Dakota?? Also struggled this year
Matt ryan is a bad example. Dude shown last year was a fluke. He threw more TDs and had a better passer rating than dudes like Matt Ryan former MVP who has "gamebreakers all over the field" as well. Show Keenum his respect. He balled out.

Jeff Fisher is trash though. It even goes along with the Jeff Fisher is trash thing that the coli loves right?
okayJeff Fisher is trash though.
Yes, it was college. Yes, Houston was a pass heavy offense. Yes, Keenum is listed as 6'1" and 215. But that said he still put in work on that level and is one of the most prolific college athletes of all time.
It's absurd that he went undrafted while some of these QBs with "height" are first and second rounders.

Remember how good Sam Bradford looked against the Saints? Before he got hurt? This team is special. Good offensive line, great defense, great receivers, and an ok running game.
I remember watching every game Case played with the Rams, and he looked very unimpressive. Now obviously a lot of that is due to Jeff Fisher, but my point is lots of qb's would look good in Case's current situation.
