Case Keenum holds a dozen NCAA records. Why is it 'surprising' that he can throw?

He's got game breakers all over the field. Again, perfect situation. Shurmur might be the best OC he's had playing with the best talent he's ever had too.
Well I mean... How does that help your argument? Im a little slow today, so my bad if I missed your point completely.

Bradford was actually just plain good last year, you can't even use his weapons against him. He was accurate, didn't turn the ball over, had a great deep ball ...

Vikings actually lucked up in having three very competent qbs on their roster.
Exactly... Sam Bradford was doing well with an injury ridden o line and Viking team in general last year and still put together a healthy solid season. We are for the most part healthy this year and Bradford would have had a few games like the Saints opener if he had stayed healthy... Cards just didn't line up.

Vikings didnt want to go through what happened last year again so they made sure to have enough talent at QB just in case

I always liked Case back at Houston. Use to watch a lot of his games. Thought he would ball out when he got to the league. Took him awhile but it's cool to see him doing well. However, I was dead wrong on cuz from Boise State possibly being like the next Drew Brees :picard:

You sound just like the clowns with the hot takes. Like he wasn't just 19-10 TD-INT ratio his first year, or 26-9 just this last season. 1 down year plagued by a shytty outdated offense and injuries does not define a QB, or any player for that matter. We'll see wassup next year
He was 13-15 this year when the league has figured him out. He has a nice run but he will continue to get coaches fired. Better luck next qb lmao

Yes, it was college. Yes, Houston was a pass heavy offense. Yes, Keenum is listed as 6'1" and 215. But that said he still put in work on that level and is one of the most prolific college athletes of all time.

It's absurd that he went undrafted while some of these QBs with "height" are first and second rounders.

Records below
  • Most career pass completions: 1,546
  • Most career passing yards: 19,217
  • Most career passing touchdowns: 155
  • Most career games with 300+ passing yards: 39
  • Most games with 300+ passing yards in a single season: 14
  • Most seasons passing for 5,000+ yards: 3
  • Most seasons passing for 4,000+ yards: 3
  • Most career total yards: 20,114
  • Most career touchdowns responsible for: 178

It took him 6 years of college (not a typo. He was a 6 year college football player) and a 5 year professional to be an average NFL QB. It's not surprising that he can throw. Anyone given the amount of chances that he's been given will be just as good at some point.....and it would be very disappointing if a college QB played 2 extra years and didn't hold at least a handful of career records.

Ehh that’s misleading and redshirts don’t work like that. He really played a little over 4 years in college. Also, his first year he split time. There are 4 year starters that have more career starts than him. Career starts isn’t on that list of records he holds.

This statement is disingenuous. He didn't play all six years. He redshirted and also missed a year with a knee injury.

Pretty much. Collinsworth said something like all he does is get the ball out to one of those explosive players in open space and hope they can make some player miss and do their thing. Vikings receivers were one of the top units in the league in yards after catch

It stilll doesn't take away the fact that's he's just figuring out the league at age 30. You be surprised how many casual think he's some rookie or still in his rookie deal.
