Why trade Allen?


If LeBron comes I guess he has to play the 4 though.

Because he got good trade value, 26 year old former all star center who averaged 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds this year. Anybody who needs a center would want him. Idk if Bron coming or not. But Jarrett Allen trade value can get you a good stretch 4.

People might see Garland as a distressed asset you can buy low on. The guy did break his jaw and lose 15 lbs. That's gotta affect things a bit going forward.

He's only 24, it's not like he's 30. The Magic should actually look to acquire him... they can hide his defense with their giants

If im NO id take back Garland in some type of trade id have zero interest in JA....Miles Turner type 5s are the new prototype,Jarrett Allens are like blu ray in 2024 everyone incl NO is trying to divest there inventory (Valanciunas)

I dont think Allen is gonna bring much value back in a trade because theres other similar options that wont cost you much.

I think this is overblown a bit. Allen's good at everything except shooting from distance. That still has value. He and Mobley don't work together though, can't have two non-shooters clogging up the lanes for your guards

They've already peaked as a team, and as individual players for the most part.

There is no "untapped potential waiting to be unleashed". They are who they are.....regardless of who the coach is.

Yeah I can tell y'all don't watch the Cavs from this thread which is what I expected. JB is the same was the Bucks coach that got fired and probably a half step above Darvin Ham. Rotations trash, Offensive philosophy non existent. Now he did get players to defend, but that is the bare minimum. Never learned to stagger the minutes of Garland and Mitchell or Mobley and Allen. We should have had lineups were Garland plus shooters played with Allen as a rim roller, and Mitchell and Mobley plus shooters to take advantage of Mitchell being able to get downhill. Strus and Okoro should have been he two guards next to them so that you can guard guards and develop some type of player that can guard bigger wings.

Why the fukk would you go spend assets on getting multiple players that you can't even play together and have to "stagger" all their minutes like I said...that franchise is incompetenct

Look I agree, I never liked the Niang signing and I thought they signed Strus to basically be a back up 2 guard. Idk what they fukk we was doing constructing a roster of nothing but guards and centers minus Dean Wade who was always either hurt or in the doghouse

JB is GREAT for a rebuild but trash once you have actual expectations, a lot like Mike Brown before he learned offense.
