The Cavs would be a better team with pg than love. If you can't see that then you don't know bball.

first thing is, PG and Butler can guard multiple positions. Thats huge right there. Love has given more effort on defense than he has in the past but he is too limited still. I mean, he couldnt stop Varajao last year. :mjlol: How you let Varajao get confidence to attack on the drive? :why:

then you look at what they can do offensively. a prime Tony Allen couldve helped the Cavs, because he couldve slowed KD just a lil bit and made him work harder. think about two-way guys like Butler/George.

Kevin Love is much better than what you're seeing from him in a cavs uniform. Should he go to a team that uses him to the max of his abilities and he balls out, somebody gonna bump this thread lol.

This is a guy who dropped 30/15 regularly. Pair him up with a defensive big and he will be dominant.

Y'all flip floppers were sold on his defense last year tho....

he gave a good effort. I could see that. the effort was there. but he just isnt talented enough in that regard...especially away from the basket. his feet are just horrible.

Love Sucks breh :francis:

2-8 6 pts in game 5 :scust:

Did he not play well when Kyrie was sleeping? How many plays do they run for him? What about games 1-4? The Cavs didn't lose because of their 3 best players...they lost because they received no help from their bench whatsoever

George Paul is going to match KD at the peak of his jumper and stop him from doing what he wants to do when not even prime LBJ in Mia can do that...got it

All things considered, Love played extremely well in the Finals. Dude hustled his ass off on defense all series long (he contested more shots than any other Cavs player, led the team in steals - almost twice the amount of any other teammate, led= the team in blocks, led= the series in charges drawn, most active Cavs frontcourt player on the PnR and defending in the paint) and tried to make most of what little opportunities he had on offense.

I really can't bear another year of foolish acquisitions that get crushed like a bug during the only 2 weeks of basketball that matters. No combination of 3 players currently available on the market is beating this team...

Shump Trash
D Will Trash
Korver gave them nothing
RJ gives you nothing offensively
C Frye can't even play

Meanwhile...

D West produced
Javale produced
Iggy was Iggy
Liv was Liv
McCraw contributed

That was the difference in the series...3 guys aren't going to beat this "team"

Eh, Kevin Love struggled to get post position against Klay Thompson, he's not the same guy he was in 2013-2014. The Cavs offensive system is simple, but it was having results and I'm not really sure how many different ways they could have used him. He could have had more elbow catches, but he's not really a threat to post up from there anymore with all the weight he's lost in the last 3 years and he's definitely not beating any Warriors with the dribble from there. If this were the fat version of Love from 2013-2014 the Cavs could post him up a lot more, and there's really no way Klay could have stopped him, but that Love was also terrible defensively so it's a trade off.

This guy is long gone -

Last I checked Bron was having trouble backing down Klay his damn self

nikkas acting like Tristan didn't play like a nikka named Tristan.....blaming it on Love. He's not a defensive wizard, but he offers a viable scoring option. Meanwhile, TT and JR Smith were extremely inconsistent in the Finals. All of this shyt is reactive, and IMO Tristan gotta go. I would be trying to flip him for some pieces (pause)

Except it's not "dead on" at all. Y'all don't seem to understand the difference in sacrificing TOP/production next to two other stars, and simply being a spot-up 3-pt shooter (which Love more or less is). If the Cavs had a proper system in place, Love would've had more opportunities to generate offense in the Finals, and therefore would've made the Cavs offense harder to defend and allow LeBron to balance out his energy on both ends evenly.
Right. And not spend their time chucking up a bunch of dumb ass 3 pointers instead of running an actual offense or trying to get some points in the post.
