Whose hands is it sticking in? What does that have to do with team ISO possessions?

In 2016/17, Isaiah (on the Celtics) controlled the ball for 7.0 minutes per game -

In 2017/18, Kyrie (on the Celtics) is only controlling the ball for 6.2 minutes per game -

And again, Kyrie's having to deal without his co-offensive anchor to help carry the load. By rights, his time of possession should be even higher, all things considered.

Isn't it funny how the OP tried to shyt on Kyrie having too many iso possessions when LeBron has nearly TWICE the amount.....

:picard:

LeBron stans, y'all.

Its sticking in Kyries hands it says it in the goddamn tweet nikka, its why the offense is so bad, cause he is pounding the air out of the damn ball and guys can't get in rhythm

And i love how you keep deflecting to LeBron while your whole agenda is LeBron ball, was making Kyrie iso when that is NOT true, Kyrie is a iso heavy player no matter the system, you can GTF spewing all types of BS thinking nobody is gonna call you out :camby:

Where exactly in that tweet does it say the ball is sticking in Kyrie's hands? How did you quote that post of mine and not see that Kyrie only has the ball in his hands for 6.2 minutes per game? Less time than Harden, Westbrook, Wall, Walker, Lillard, Schroder, Simmons, CP3, LeBron, Teague, Dinwiddie, Jackson, DSJ and Dragic.
its why the offense is so bad,
:dwillhuh:

How is the offense so bad because of ISOs?

Only 8.6% of their total possessions are ISOs, they score 0.93 points per iso possession (top-5 in the league), and are 75.9 percentile. They're basically one of the best teams in ISO this season.

Can you please explain how ISOs are the reason why their offense is so bad, when it's one of the very few things that's actually good about their offense.

This is factually wrong. As I said above, he controls the ball less than A LOT of main ball-handlers in the league. There are 14 players who have the ball in their hands for longer.

Here are some interesting stats for you:

Kyrie is 44th in the league in average dribbles per touch
Kyrie is 45th in the league in average seconds per touch

Can you please explain to me how why you think he's pounding the air out of the ball is the reason behind their offense being "so bad".

Are you slow on purpose or what?

LEBRON JAMES IS AVERAGING NEARLY TWICE THE AMOUNT OF ISO POSSESSIONS THAT KYRIE IRVING IS.

It means Kyrie has to try to create for himself more because his teammates are either more limited or inexperienced offensively, and yet STILL LeBron averages nearly twice the amount of iso possessions - go figure.
Kyrie wouldn’t have to create more for himself

To benefit the team offense

If he has other decent ball handlers, which he has had. Rosier has exploded development wise, and Brown and Tatum have shown adept ability to create for themselves. Has Kyrie had to compensate for Hayward? Yeah, but compensation is more shown in the immense boom of Al Horford than Kyrie playing the same brand of basketball he played in Cleveland, give or take.

The main point was Boston has more guys who could create for themselves, which would make any comparison between what Bron has to do as a floor manager and what Kyrie has done as unnecessary

Seems odd that Kyrie would have to "create more" this year when the team had less ISO with IT last year and I find it hard to believe that team was less talented than these Celtics.
I’ll give the caveat that Bradley was also there, who could take the ball out of IT’s hands and perhaps muddy these stats, but Kyrie has a 5x better Rozier, and Brown, Tatum, and Horford’s elte play as a counter to Bradley’s contributions.

Kyrie has progressed to be Uncle Drew within a system, but he’s still uncle drew at the end of the day :manny:

Again, you're wrong. He does, because despite there being other ball-handlers on the team, they're still limited and/or inexperienced when it comes to scoring, in comparison to LeBron's teammates. Which is half the reason why they have a bad offense, because they lack scoring talent/ability.

I'm genuinely asking, because it sounds like you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Which comes as no surprise.
It sounds to me like you're a pretentious, pedantic jerk who speaks down to everyone on this board because they don't always agree with you. So you pepper people with insults and question their intelligence.
You also appear to have a major anti-Lebron agenda.

I think you need some emotional growth breh.

Ok, so you’re saying that Cleveland has better offensive weapons, and you’re not arguing that they’re not ball handlers. So that would only leave the result they’re specialists who have offense catered to them by....LeBron! Evidently, these guys would need an elite floor general to feed them as much as possible, and that directly explains Bron’s usage rate

For him to have almost double Kyries rate or whatever you were saying makes complete sense as that is what makes their offense elite. Don’t know why you made that sound like a negative
