Boston's offense:

ISO - 75th percentile (top-5 in the league)
Transition - 6.9th percentile (bottom-5 in the league)
P&R (ball-handler) - 86th percentile (top-5 in the league)
P&R (roll man) - 41st percentile (bottom half of the league)
Post-up - 24th percentile (bottom-5 in the league)
Spot up - 69th percentile (top-10 in the league)
Hand-off - 48th percentile (bottom half of the league)
Off-screen - 89th percentile (top-5 in the league)

Basically, ISOs are one of the very few areas where Boston has had success scoring this season, and areas like transition, P&R (roll man), post-up and hand-off are the reasons for why they haven't had success scoring this season.

I bet none of y'all LeBron stans will even acknowledge this post.

Ok, so you’re saying that Cleveland has better offensive weapons, and you’re not arguing that they’re not ball handlers. So that would only leave the result they’re specialists who have offense catered to them by....LeBron! Evidently, these guys would need an elite floor general to feed them as much as possible, and that directly explains Bron’s usage rate

For him to have almost double Kyries rate or whatever you were saying makes complete sense as that is what makes their offense elite. Don’t know why you made that sound like a negative
You're not even bothering to pay attention to what the discussion is about. SMH.

Went from 3rd in the NBA in team passes per game last year to 15th this year playing “Kyrie Ball”
:picard:
It's not because of Kyrie. He actually handles the ball less than IT did last season - IT controlled the ball for 7.0 minutes per game last season, Kyrie only controls it for 6.2 minutes per game this season. It's because they've got less experience (they've got a 21-year-old and 19-year-old playing starters minutes), fewer shooters, and this is their first time as a starting unit - all without Hayward. The team last season had been together for two seasons.

Whose hands is it sticking in? What does that have to do with team ISO possessions?

In 2016/17, Isaiah (on the Celtics) controlled the ball for 7.0 minutes per game -

In 2017/18, Kyrie (on the Celtics) is only controlling the ball for 6.2 minutes per game -

And again, Kyrie's having to deal without his co-offensive anchor to help carry the load. By rights, his time of possession should be even higher, all things considered.
I’m not disputing anything you’re saying, but who was Isaiah’s co-anchor?

And here's another fun fact for y'all LeBron stans:

Cavs have had 622 ISO possessions this season - 0.89 points per possession, 55th percentile
Celtics have had 530 ISO possessions this season - 0.93 points per possessions, 75th percentile.

The Celtics take far fewer ISOs than the Cavs, and they're more efficient than the Cavs too. Bu-bu-but Kyrie-ball.

I am gonna keep it real with you.........

Against tough defenses iso possessions is sometimes all you will get after well defended first and second actions.......

That Celtics offense will need a good deal of those Kyrie isos in the post season

ISO isnt a bad thing with an elite iso scorer. Kyrie
ISO isnt a bad thing with an elite decision maker. Bron

These are the guys you want with the ball in their hands. :yeshrug:

ISO shouldnt be a bad word in basketball, unless the player using the ISO isnt a great scorer or passer
Pretty much this

And yet Bron still averages nearly TWICE the amount of isos per game, all the while playing with more offensive weapons. The Celtics have been missing their co-offensive anchor for the entire season, so they've needed Kyrie to look to create for himself more often than initially planned.
LeBron is better than Kyrie by a mile. This is like saying, MJ isos more than AI. Yeah, cause he's better at it
