LeBron is better than Kyrie by a mile. This is like saying, MJ isos more than AI. Yeah, cause he's better at it
Also the big difference is that players like Harden Bron and Westbrook can pass and create shots for others in those iso situations, Kyrie Cant/Refuses to do that, and thats a big reason why the celtics struggle offensively.

Hes done a pretty god job of moving the ball this year. I think their system generates the shots though. I was a Brad doubter but I cant deny the Boston system any longer. Rozier came in to start at point for about a week and had a 30+ point game and a triple double.

And yet Bron still averages nearly TWICE the amount of isos per game, all the while playing with more offensive weapons. The Celtics have been missing their co-offensive anchor for the entire season, so they've needed Kyrie to look to create for himself more often than initially planned.

Don’t let facts get in the way bro

You've got one of the best one on one players to ever step on the court, why not run more isos?

This. And the fact that @Gil Scott-Heroin is debunking OP's myth with facts is hilarious. I had to stop dapping that crazy niqqa because so much truth was being dropped by him.:pachaha:

The craziest part about it is that Kyrie plays for an extremely talented coach who knows how to put his team in better situations, and he plays the vast majority of his minutes with Horford, Tatum, and Brown, offensively talented players who don't need Kyrie to go iso. Even the 5th player in most of Kyrie's lineups, Smart, knows how to move the ball and work within the offense well even if he can't shoot worth shyt.

How the hell is a Brad Stevens-coached team that basically plays two point guards most of the time AND has one of the best passing bigs in the NBA still rank 22nd in assists? A lot of that is on Kyrie.

There is simply no need to go iso. Kyrie is great at iso, but even being great at iso the payoff you get per possession is worse than other things they could be doing. And it's contagious - when Kyrie goes iso more often, as he's continued to do as the season goes along, the other players do it too - and they're not nearly as talented at it.

The same thing was true in Cleveland. That was NOT a team that needed Kyrie isos like he was doing them. And his creation off them is so minimal - how do you draw as much attention as Kyrie draws, have Tatum, Horford, and Brown shooting as well as they are this season, and you're still only averaging 5 assists a game?

There are times when a team needs someone to go iso - those Calderon/JR/Crowder/TT-heavy lineups Lebron was playing with earlier this season didn't have a whole lot of options other than Lebron getting attention and then either scoring from or passing out of the iso, especially with Lue's limited vision on that front. But a Brad Stevens team with talent like Boston has can do better. And they were doing better. They've stagnated as the season has progressed, and while it's helping Kyrie's ppg, it sure ain't helping their results on the court.

This is completely untrue. Why make up bullshyt?

"Boston's offense:

ISO - 75th percentile (top-5 in the league)
Transition - 6.9th percentile (bottom-5 in the league)
P&R (ball-handler) - 86th percentile (top-5 in the league)
P&R (roll man) - 41st percentile (bottom half of the league)
Post-up - 24th percentile (bottom-5 in the league)
Spot up - 69th percentile (top-10 in the league)
Hand-off - 48th percentile (bottom half of the league)
Off-screen - 89th percentile (top-5 in the league)

Basically, ISOs are one of the very few areas where Boston has had success scoring this season, and areas like transition, P&R (roll man), post-up and hand-off are the reasons for why they haven't had success scoring this season.

I bet none of y'all LeBron stans will even acknowledge this post."

Last season, Kyrie averaged the same amount of ISO possessions as LeBron, and was considerably more effective - in fact he had more success than anyone in the league in those situations. Which is why it's funny that this thread was created in the first place when the volume of Kyrie's ISO possessions have decreased by 30% this season, whereas LeBron has increased his by 23%.

Here's another fun fact for y'all, who're blaming Kyrie for the Celtics offense being "so bad":

The Celtics offense has a 110 ORTG when Kyrie is on court (that would be equal to the #6 ranked offensive team in the league), when Kyrie is off the court the Celtics offense drops to a 102.4 ORTG (that would be equal to, well, no team, because even the worst offensive team in the league have a better offensive rating than that - 103.5)
