:manny:.

Empathy only goes so far when people are stealing money on the clock or being deceitful.

you would fire people before Christmas because it makes good business sense. Same type of person that would deny time off for someone with cancer. Lack of empathy is lack of empathy.

This is where the CEO fukked up. Let's say they hired too fast and their cash flow didn't support they growth trajectory, it's the CEO fault and all the execs. If you're working 2 hours a day then that's on the company too have to plan better and fix. Perhaps the right training wasn't done or they just fukk up people planning. Knowing how these high growth companies operates, it's usually not planned out well for hiring and talent and hr. They just see the endless vc finding streams and think it's all good. Then the investors are pressuring the CEO for better numbers and then you get a rash decision like this. Happens all the time
Happened to me when I was in a tech startup. But at least the CEO was more humane

Ah article on this company that was posted in the thread:
Knoller ascended rapidly at the company. A little over two years into the job Garg made her an executive vice president. Four months after that she replaced the company’s chief product officer. The move confused and frustrated some of her peers, who felt that Knoller had little experience for the role. She had recently taken a crash course in product management to learn more about it, recalls a coworker she told about the classes.

People say this but not everyone can be a chief. Some people have to be just normal Indians.

But shyt everyone should at least strive to be a chief if they are cut out for it. Don't disagree.
Exactly. Like 20% of small biz folds within a year of opening and half don't even make it to year five. People who aren't committed to having to suck it up IN A BUSINESS THAT'S PROFITABLE and not some fly by night t-shirt/fashion/other BS need to readjust their thought process. Like you said, not everyone is meant to be a chief cause if we all were, who would be the workforce. And this ain't me caping for corporate overlords. Folks gotta start thinking strategic and not just driven on passion.

:what: You act like this is a far fetched notion, and btw you can eat a buffet of dikks for that neg fukk nikka

nikka just want to be oblivious
It was speaking in general. There’s a lot of managers, GMs, and execs that made it to that position without nepotism and actually working for it and being qualified.

exactly, everyone ain’t built for that, or has the resources or ideas to do that, it’s ok to work a job and try to move up, but longevity is also priceless

I agree. I have been asked to go into management but I simply have no desire to lead a group of people. I’m not built to lead in a corporate environment and nobody looks like me.

I’m a good partner or work behind the scenes guy. I’m not an order giver and doing all that extra work managers do with different personalities and pretend like I give a fukk. Just let me do my work and leave me alone.

Not everyone has to lead. We all have to play a role. Some don’t want to, some don’t know how to.

Bingo! I’ve been a worker bee and the lead of an HR department. I had to grow into the lead guy role. Always been one of those types that you don’t want in charge but you need on the payroll. I had to be convinced that I was ready and truth be told, wasn’t all that bad. Just need a solid team that you don’t have to micromanage and willing to give some equity in the work that’s is being accomplished.

I hated having to answer for what other associates are doing..

Why isn't yimmy making his numbers

Why isn't Ason making it to work on time.. have you put him on an corrective actions

Having to explain for others shortcomings and shyt.. having to fire people and shyt.. :hubie:

He said they were clocking 8 hours a day but only really working 2 hours a day

As annoying as I find the nebulous nature of working in strategy, I love the fact that you can’t really quantify how long it takes to do something. I could easily say it takes me a week to do some research and strategic analysis
