That incompetent asswipe Speilman should get on the phone with his agent asap.
Part of me feels like :whoa: because we're trying to go the Seahawks/9ers route and build through the draft... But then the other half I feel like Our young DB's would learn alot...

Packerland
:to: I can't believe that 3 of my favorite Packers are leaving the team at the same time :to:

He's gonna definitely be missed...in the locker room. It pains me to say, but on the field, his play has declined. Like was said earlier, he can't cover WR's anymore, and he's been getting penalized more than usual (which was alot to begin with). I doubted Ted's gangsta for years, then the Super Bowl run happened, and showed me that he knows what he's doing.

Hayward coulda won DROY. Him and Shields were our best CB's last year, and if Tramon ever decides to come back around, the 3 of them will hold the fort down just fine.

Ima leave with this, the GOAT CW21 2009 DPOY getting his Speech on...IN CHICAGO, after winning the GEORGE HALAS TROPHY at SOLDIER FIELD

Put him back there with Harrison Smith.

But on the other hand he's coming off another injury riddled season at 37.

My guess is Speilman will pass.

Woodon was a beast but he's lost a step, which should be expected at his age. But i still think he can contribute to a team and be a difference maker for a team who needs veteran leadership in thier secondary.

The D (where it's so cold)

This. I think the Packers idea of just using Woodson on blitzes idea worked out best and he could probably play one or two more years doing that he has been the most productive 30 year old DB in the league even with all the holding calls. The locker room guidance is a given.

both of these losses are inexcusable

we kept finley for 6.5 million per yr to drop balls on a team with 5 better receivers

we kept and RESIGNED AJ Hawk after he was labeled one of the worse starting lb's in the league

but we allow our mgmt to scapegoat the veteran players that ACTUALLY contribute :boss:

AJ was horrible in 2011, but he was better in 2012. I definitely agree we need to replace him because at his best, he's a solid ILB plus he never misses a game. I think our defensive line needs more work especially with a successor for Pickett.

I made peace with losing Jennings awhile ago. I have faith in Cobb to assume his role and we can pick a WR later in the draft.

In terms of Finley, there's talk of signing him to a cap friendly contract with more years. He did play well after Week 10 and didn't have the issues of drops he had in the 1st half of the season. Plus, he's still very young. I do like DJ Williams to replace Finley if they should just cut their losses.

I'm more concerned with protecting Rodgers and getting a consistent push (for run and pass) by the front 7. But losing Woodson's leadership is going to hurt. I really wish Nick Collins didn't get injured :damn: I have faith in Casey Hayward though, I don't think he's a fluke and believe he will improve.

The only bright thing I can think of is we get Bishop back, we get Bulaga back, and EDS came on at Center to end the season. We played half the season without Jennings and 9 games without Woodson.

However, our schedule is brutal next year on paper. But then again, our schedule this year was supposed to be "easy" and there was like 10 win teams all over.
