both of these losses are inexcusable
we kept finley for 6.5 million per yr to drop balls on a team with 5 better receivers
we kept and RESIGNED AJ Hawk after he was labeled one of the worse starting lb's in the league
but we allow our mgmt to scapegoat the veteran players that ACTUALLY contribute
AJ was horrible in 2011, but he was better in 2012. I definitely agree we need to replace him because at his best, he's a solid ILB plus he never misses a game. I think our defensive line needs more work especially with a successor for Pickett.
I made peace with losing Jennings awhile ago. I have faith in Cobb to assume his role and we can pick a WR later in the draft.
In terms of Finley, there's talk of signing him to a cap friendly contract with more years. He did play well after Week 10 and didn't have the issues of drops he had in the 1st half of the season. Plus, he's still very young. I do like DJ Williams to replace Finley if they should just cut their losses.
I'm more concerned with protecting Rodgers and getting a consistent push (for run and pass) by the front 7. But losing Woodson's leadership is going to hurt. I really wish Nick Collins didn't get injured

I have faith in Casey Hayward though, I don't think he's a fluke and believe he will improve.
The only bright thing I can think of is we get Bishop back, we get Bulaga back, and EDS came on at Center to end the season. We played half the season without Jennings and 9 games without Woodson.
However, our schedule is brutal next year on paper. But then again, our schedule this year was supposed to be "easy" and there was like 10 win teams all over.
