woodson is washed up at this point, sounds like blasphemy but...its true.

watch someone overpay for him...

I don't think anyone is going to overpay for Woodson. Dude is 36, coming off a injury plague season. A little above the Vet min should be his value..

AJ was horrible in 2011, but he was better in 2012. I definitely agree we need to replace him because at his best, he's a solid ILB plus he never misses a game. I think our defensive line needs more work especially with a successor for Pickett.

I made peace with losing Jennings awhile ago. I have faith in Cobb to assume his role and we can pick a WR later in the draft.

In terms of Finley, there's talk of signing him to a cap friendly contract with more years. He did play well after Week 10 and didn't have the issues of drops he had in the 1st half of the season. Plus, he's still very young. I do like DJ Williams to replace Finley if they should just cut their losses.

I'm more concerned with protecting Rodgers and getting a consistent push (for run and pass) by the front 7. But losing Woodson's leadership is going to hurt. I really wish Nick Collins didn't get injured :damn: I have faith in Casey Hayward though, I don't think he's a fluke and believe he will improve.

The only bright thing I can think of is we get Bishop back, we get Bulaga back, and EDS came on at Center to end the season. We played half the season without Jennings and 9 games without Woodson.

However, our schedule is brutal next year on paper. But then again, our schedule this year was supposed to be "easy" and there was like 10 win teams all over.

:to: nick collins man.....he was our donald driver..... bethune cookman

i believe in casey too, but why release woodson if we don't have a safety...morgan burnett is still trying to rehab (you can tell he's still hurt)

but yo, you're absolutely right about our front 7! on both sides of the ball man....its like we're so passive....ppl forget that pickett and raji weren't full time NT in our super bowl season...they were supplanted by howard green! we need a vince wolfork or haloti ngata on our D

no he didn't, revis was the best cover corner in the league hands down

woodson was the best all around player on defense

Nah revis was the best corner period. Your overrating interceptions like the voters did in 2009.

Dude had arguably the best corner season ever. Shut down number one reciever after number one reciever after number one reciever

NFL Versus Revis, all WRs in elimination game - ESPN

And the Jets were the Number one ranked defense

its funny how people STILL underrate consistent coverage in this day and age.

altho, I didnt have many problems with CW winning it then

He got hurt. Made no impact at all. :troll:

He's still one of my all time favorite players though.

:comeon: the play he got injured in the SB he was running stride for stride with Mike Wallace and broke up a potential big play:

and of course we don't get to the SB without his leadership. We missed him in that game and nearly lost cause Jarrett Bush played in his place.
