the team was 2-13 on back to backs because dude can't prepare this team for more than a single look per week

teams with worse personnel play better defense

hornets had a negative point differential most of the year simply because we started every other game down double digits

he legit has no idea how to utilize the center position or defend it

he gets credit for being a development coach but still can't teach PJ how to make a layup, played IT on purpose despite having Bouknight, and says lamelo is doing too much while begging lameo to do everything in the same breath

borrego is a whole clown

What would D'Antoni have LaMelo do that he's not doing already?

The worst thing he did IMO was succumb to the idea that Charlotte is a win now team and for all intents and purposes kicked an entire draft class (that Mitch got HELLA praise for) to the curb.

Charlotte woulda felt a lot better had Bouknight and even to a lesser extent Kai got way more run than they did.

Now you're entering next season with more picks and 4-5 players who are talented yet ridiculously unproven, yet somehow with expectations of the postseason.


If any team in the league has to make a "fukk it, go for it" move, it's them. Otherwise, what was the point of the last 2 years?

lamelo is lamelo. the rest of these dudes will literally run in circles doing nothing if they're not randomly on fire is the problem

and at least d'antoni's brand of not playing defense speeds up the game in a way that benefits the offense these dudes were getting slowed down and punched in the mouth

In big games, it slows down. If they can't survive playing that way too, they're gonna lose anyway, and LaMelo is partly why they suck in a slower paced setting.

His lack of adjustments & overall poor motivation warranted a firing

Minny coach better hope he’s not next.

For Charlotte this will begin actual pressure for Melo to take his game & the team to the next level. I’ve seen some issues/trends in his game that were over looked due to poor coaching. Now expectations start to happen

the only reason the record even looked good last year was because rozier was playing out of his mind in the clutch back then - dude was hitting the dumbest shots imaginable. if borrego told him to shoot those he was stupid and lucky, and if he didn't he was stupid and had no control of his players

he's the reason lamelo's wrist is fukked up too. leaving him in the game when he was already holding his hand and he knew he was injured? no surprise he let hayward get run over twice like GTA this year too
