I was being cheap and stayed at one of those joints in Dallas years ago for a short stay because the fee there was cheaper than the adjacent hotels close by.

A Rose Royce parked right next to me one night and someone broke into my shyt, but did not touch the Rose Royce.

they're like $1200-1800/month.

This is what confuses me..these things sometimes are 45-50 a day..I pay $900 for a 1 BR Apt so (900\30 days in a month)= $30 a day..they’re paying more than me :why:

There must be programs..I mean some have school buses going to them so they’re being listed as an address

I lived in hotel for like 9 months in high school but we weren't even poor, my mom had just sold our childhood home for a profit and she was working and paying out of pocket for school at the time, I couldn't figure out for the life of me why she just didn't get a cheap apartment. Instead of enjoying my youth I was stuck in a hotel room with my two brothers for most of that school year and summer. My fukking dad who had visitation at the time was coming to pick us up form the hotel and never even offered to take us in until my moms got her head right. :francis:

Thankfully the hotel somewhat upscale so no drug addicts but there were no other kids around and it was just people on business trips or bringing prostitutes there to fukk.

Breh if they have kids, that expense goes up exponentially, plus for section 8 in many places the wait list is a year or two long.
Bills-heating electricity water can get really expensive

People divorce, move to new cities, just need help getting on their feet. I interned in DC and a one room with other roommates was 650 in Greenbelt. I couldn’t imagine how expensive it is for others who live there permanently with families.

It’s no program, it’s just the reality of some living in poverty. Poverty isn’t cheap these days.

I wish people could move into abandoned homes and homestead that shyt by America is too greedy
