How many of Curry's points came from intentional foul free throws in the closing minute? Pretty sure he had about 8 or so free throws in that final minute of game 5. Not Klay's fault he aint getting those free points.

Game 5 the Warriors were up 2 or 4(can't remember exactly) and went up 10 with their bench and then stayed up 10 when Dray/Klay came back in. It got closest when Curry was on the floor.

Game 6, like CantStop said, was Klay saving the day in the early portions of the 4th and late in the third hitting everything. Even in game 4, when the game was still somewhat close, it was Klay's big third quarter that was keeping them in it and, at one point, had the game at 4 points.

Curry was part of the reason they came back from 1-3, but he was definitely not the biggest reason why, not even close.

:dead: at laying a rhetorical about how many intentional free throws he had in the closing minute (like you'd apply the same to every other player) and then throwing a # like 8 out there when i) he didn't attempt 8 free throws in the closing stages of the game - Curry attempted four free throws and Klay attempted four free throws ii) you could easily just check the play-by-play of that game instead of planting a seed for cats to use in future discussions against Curry.

He averaged and scored the most points through Games 5-7 whilst orchestrating the offense and playing solid defense; both man-to-man and help - no matter how much y'all twist it his play was the main factor in them coming back down from 1-3 and winning the WCF. It's not up for debate.

Over the last three games:

Curry - 32.7 ppg on 47 FG%/64 TS% (on 22 shots), 7.3 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 2.3 steals - Warriors had a 127 ORTG with him on court
Klay - 29.7 ppg on 40 FG%/57 TS% (on 23.7 shots), 4.7 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 1.0 steals - Warriors had a 113 ORTG with him on court

But let TheColi tell it - "Curry was part of the reason they came back from 1-3, but he was definitely not the biggest reason why, not even close."

The last week has made me realize how bad a majority of comments are within the Coli. Why do dudes have to be so extreme with their comments, it's embarrassing. Everything has to be so extreme like the only way you cats can talk about sports is trying to sound like an extreme skip bayless or Stephen A smith. This site has some hilarious post but actual bball knowledge and content is some of the worst on the internet these days. Youtube comment status.

In all honesty this is everywhere, not just the Coli. It's part of why First Take and these shows are so popular. Your average sports fans are just into extreme overreactions, drama and bullshyt narratives these days.

They've won the first 2 games in spite of him. When he went to the bench game 1, Livingston went crazy and built the lead. Game 2 he got into foul trouble and carried his bum ass and game 3 he was too much of a liability to overcome the deficit. He's an anchor pulling the team down. Here I thought it was Dellevadova last year that shut down Curry, all along it was Curry shutting down himself.

This is just wrong....

You didn't see how many times the Cavs allowed wide open layups because they overplayed Steph and Klay on 3's.
You didn't see how many times GS beat the Cavs on backdoors because the Cavs fukked up switches (that's a testament to the gravity Curry brings to the court)

One thing I've learned this post season is that from the media and your casual fan there's a total lack of objectivity and ability to derive individual impact outside of one's individual scoring efforts. In the case of Curry his mere presence on the court has made it easier for his team to score even if he isn't. If Lebron has to chase you around on screens that means there's a mismatch everywhere else.

Curry had 14 in the 3rd quarter, Klay had 6.
Klay had 19 in the 4th quarter, Curry had 8.

Out of the 60 2nd half points the Warriors scored in game 6, Curry had 22 and Klay had 25.

It just so happens, the Thunder's offense faded/GS' defense picked up in the 4th quarter when Klay got hot..............When Curry dropped 14 in the 3rd, OKC was still scoring (in fact they outscored them in the 3rd by 3 despite Curry's scoring outburst).

In all honesty, they did it together. It just so happened the defense showed up when Klay was hot. I remember thinking OKC might have weathered Curry's scoring outburst in the 3rd and they might really win this based on how many rebounds they were grabbing.

This is so damn satisfying for all of that bullshyt I had to hear this season from the media slurping this light skin nikka up all year :ahh:

You guys are weird man. I agree Curry is overrated and the media has brainwashed casual fans into beliveing he is greater than he actually is, but whats with black people mentioning his skin color? Like every time I hear other black people mention steph curry (I'm black by the way) they all have to throw in his skin color somehow. It's very weird and sad. It shows that slavery has really destroyed the minds of most black people even till this day.

And that proves that Curry is not on Lebron's level

because we don't hold them to the same standard :wow:

because Lebron puts up 29 points like its nothing and doesn't expect any highlights from ESPN :wow:

because if Lebron's team gets blown out he takes full responsibility, and expects 24/7 coverage blasting his performance :wow:

because Lebron doesn't expect Adam Silver to bail his team out :wow:

when Lebron chokes he gets called choker, when Curry chokes he gets called "not 100%"

Lebron always has been, and always will be held to a higher standard than Curry.

No athlete is hated as much as Lebron is by cacs

No athlete is as loved as much as Curry is, by cacs

Lebron = #BlackExcellence :wow:
yep. years down the line when the smoke clears and the ESPN hype machine dies down, people will laugh at the thought of putting Curry on the same level as Lebron. They will remember the Golden state "team" though.
