People are tired . Can you give a better solution? People keep blaming poverty, but most of it has absolutely nothing to do with poverty or lack of jobs or anything else.

I don't buy the poverty angle either to be honest. Just seems to me to be a culture of gang violence. It can potentially be eradicated but it would be a tough grind and the people really will have to go hardbody to root it out and vanquish it.

there wouldn't be any little old ladies, young girls, or 50 year old dudes fresh off of work getting shot by military
they know who the gang members and affiliates are man
no more shooting videos, no more hanging out in crazy hours of the night in certain areas

military intervention will save a lot of innocent black lives in chicago. but hey...let's keep nurturing feelings though

chicago's homicide numbers aren't as high as previous decades because the city has a smaller population.

of course chicago won't have 650-700+ murders a year because you're missing about 2 million people

breh Chicagos population was not 2 million people higher in 1974 . Rate doesnt take into account OVERRALL population, it's how dangerous the city is PERIOD. That's why it's per 100,000 people, it uses that number as a medium to understand the particular rate of crimes of cities of vastly different populations. you dont even understand the math.

Chicago's population 1974: 3.2 mil with a murder rate of 29 per 100,000

Chicago's population 1992: 2.7 mil with a murder rate of 34 per 100,000

Chicago's population 2015: 2.7 mil with a murder rate of 17 per 100,000

That sounds good but I'm telling you man...The military isn't built for this type of problem. It's like using a shotgun to open a can of beans. And a majority of cops are military flunkies or military dudes that worked menial jobs. So you got doofus and doofus collaborating on how to solve a problem that isn't simple.

I don't have a clear solution to any cities with terrible crime but I know that if you give those areas options in life it opens doors and makes people think towards the future more than how to kill an opp. There really ain't any sort of job opportunities in Chicago for the majority of people from southside Chicago.
