Black people have to be educated in ways much deeper than financials. Buying back the block means nothing if the people on the block don't understand the long term importance and end goal,and move as a unit.

And not to be negative,but without real financial and political power to go along with your buying the block,the government can come right along and force you to sell your shyt to them whether you like it or not

Out of all the places in the world we continue to want to try to make it work in america,because we are so comfortable with the luxary,and feel like we deserve for helping build the country. Logical reasoning,but sometimes you have to take the L and start over instead of trying to hold on. I don't have the answer to which is the better route obviously.Hopefully one day we can see both plans in action,and see which is working the best for us

you just have to go make the moves.

i was gonna buy one but my deal would not close cause i was outbid by a closing day.

so, things can go your way if you have time.
it can go quickly as well, so try to do it.
it could probably easily make you ten times that by just rehabb'n it, easy.
as housing and real estate in chicago is actually dead. so if you have resources in liquid like this lady.
you can do what she is doing and rehab and make money off tenants till the big fish try to swoop in and re-gentrify the areas.
