Man, at times like these, I'm glad that K-Dot got commercial success and making up and coming rappers believe that you can be yourself instead of a goon. Keef's flop is a wake up call for all across the board.

:rudy: the fukk outta here

cake ass nikkas like kanye & drake been paved the way for nikkas like kendrick..keef is definetly the minority in hiphop nowadays..

you don't have to worry breh, hiphop is gonna continue to remain lame as fukk

So K-Dot and rappers like him are lame? Then what is cool to you?

:heh: Remember them words you said. The industry is in a massive change that will make a lot of them trap rappers broke as shyt.

what tipped you off?

was it this quote from the article linked in the first post?

Chief Keef “wasn’t friendly” with Gissendanner and had “nothing to do with the kid,” attorney Dennis Berkson said. “And [Chief Keef] has no relationship with his father.

Yea. I mean if he didn't fukk with his step dad, why would he fukk with his step brother...

Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if this dude was going around telling everyone his brother was Keef

i don't have a "cool" rapper list, nowadays i just like certain songs by a variety of rappers..but what i like about keef was his rawness, and not in terms of lyrical ability, obviously..he's like a young ODB, and thats 1 thing i miss about hiphop, that "idgaf" type of attitude..nowadays everybody either soft n dull or just phony as fukk

and even thou gangsta/street rap had a lot of phony nikkas portraying something they wasn't, it still gave hiphop its "edge" so to speak, now wit all these soft, cornball nikkas running the game, hiphop became a complete joke, thats why you see kreayshawns, mac millers, wiz khalifa's and odd future's running around while the otha emo rap nikkas is killin they self

they saying he had a h.s diploma was in college and had a job. just rapped on the side

i really dont like how they trying to turn this into some street shyt connected to chief keef when its clear that wasnt the case.

and if guys were trying to get back at keef they could have hit way more people closer to him

Uhh, society is like that now. How many of these "gangsta" rappers you gonna see under the age of 35 these days? Thanks to technology, gentrification, and the nu age hipsters that rather have fun than catch a body, you gonna see this as the norm nowadays. From 88-07, you had that "edge" of gangsta rappers, but that era is long past over.

So...
Chicago teen rapper Chief Keef's people allegedly killed chicago teen rapper lil Jojo (& one of his sympathizers). Now chief Keef's bro has been gunned down.

Keef's album didn't sell well either.

btw, nikkas been waring in the street over gang shyt back when donny hathaway the ghetto was pumping in nikkas coup de villes

so can we stop acting like rap is what bringing gang violence to the streets? if nobody ever rapped again it would still be war in the streets because all of the elements it takes to create gangs and violence and ignorance still will plague the community.

poverty, lack of employment, terrible education, black churches that hold no one accountable for wrong doing, youth being raised by no father, or 2 parents who havent grown up they damn self. all these things will still exist, those things are the roots, gang shyt are the branches and leaves.

crazy. i feel like people should boycott chief keef music. cant support this mass black suicide.

shyt is cancer. For the first time since I can remember, positivity (K. Dot) reigns over negativity (Keef). Like I said in an earlier post, this is a wake up call. You think that any of them street rappers are gonna be signed by Interscope in the near future? :skip: Its all crumbling down. The gimmicks, the negativity, the bullshyt is coming to an abrupt end.
