yep...but down here...dependent children can get up to 1,500 a month.no matter what u makei can be ross perot.if u not married..same thing...n the only way they can get more is if they have health issues..when i filed..i had to pay damn near a stack..but as the case went on..n the court seen i was takin responsibility more for the lil nikka..than she was mad kuz..checks went down to 300 over time..she got madder n madder each time it went down

What Child Support does is take away the ability of the Non-custodial Parent to provide for the child financially in ways that he or she sees fit.

This is why some non-custodial parents request to the judge that they pay things such as daycare, school, and things of that nature directly than to the custodial parent. The custodial parent gives the non-custodial parent the information and they pay daycare and most expenses directly.

And for those who are saying that as long as the child is taken care of, there will be no intervention, this is not true. Child Support is used to maintain a lifestyle. If this was not the case then everybody would pay the same amount of child support across the board regardless of salary.

Example if the non-custodial parent is making $150k paying $1800 a month in child support and the custodial parent is living in the projects wearing all of this designer stuff, yet the child is wearing no frills clothing, and in poor living environments he can intervene. He/She can argue that the custodial parent is not maintaining the lifestyle and living conditions of the child. Most judges will hear the case and Child Services will investigate. Check your state or providence first though.
