We need a baby momma bootcamp. Drop ya'll on an island where you gotta eat lizards and roaches and drink piss to live. So you come back with an appreciation for the difficulties of life and self reliance. Too much princess mentality when it ain't reality. 1st world America being raised as a princess to be worshipped is a LUXURY not a god given right.

Try playing both roles one time. Try waking up at 5, feedin your kid breakfast changing all the diapers, bringin him to the park, feed him lunch, bath him, go buy clothes, put him down for a nap, teach him some lessons, cook him dinner, do the dishes, do the laundry clean the kitchen, vaccuum the living room, try to find time to eat for yourself, drive him to a babysitter a half hour away so he can be watched til his mother is out of work.

THEN go into a job where you stand on your feet for 8 hours, get home at 1 in the morning, only to do it all again tomorrow...then get told by your baby mother you ain't doing enough
:mjcry:

Should have made better decisions on who you chose to stick your dikk in.

I'd prefer not to discuss my health issues on the coli but my body did not respond well to birth control...I have renal issues because of it...
Men don't understand the issues that come with birth control. Its greater than weight gain and mood swings.

Its women out here having cancerous fibroids, blood clots, and like yourself...strokes. Most women who get on bc in their 20's can't give birth in their 30's and end up going the expensive Ivf route and still can't get pregnant because their wombs are destroyed.

Thats why I shake my head at dudes who want a woman to use bc pills but they refuse condoms, spermicide, and vasectomy for themselves. I can't wait for the new male birth control whatever they have coming out so i can see the laundry list of side effects that comes with it.

We were together 3 years loved eachother very much and got along fine before we had a baby.

She literally became a different person the day our boy was born.

I love my son and provide for him love him and wouldn't trade him for the world. But you can't predict how people will change after having a child, no matter how well planned or well intentioned.

I owe my son my life. I owe his mother nothing.

Most women change after having children, it's called life.

If the change is for the absolute worst, it's called postpartum depression.

Yea I know this. Doesn't mean I made a bad decision having a child with her though.

If anything I was in her corner and showed her affection and support.

I am responding because there are a lot of knuckleheads on here that could take what you said the wrong way.

From your previous post it sounded like you were upset that she was not appreciative of your contributions. This is understandable. Men need to be shown appreciation, and women have a habit of neglecting this - but it is not intentional.

However, there is always another side. Why would a woman be so unappreciative if a man is taking on so much responsibility in the home and at work? If she has postpartum depression, then that is really rude and insensitive to hold that against her. That's a tough battle to face and it requires a great deal of commitment to make a relationship work when it seems like the woman you loved has turned into a mean and crazy person.

If she didn't have PPD, then perhaps the character flaws were not solely on her. You may think that you were doing everything, but maybe she saw things differently.

IMO, a "baby mama" bootcamp is not needed. A "how to navigate relationship and communication issues" bootcamp would be helpful for all sides.

Fair enough. My son is 19 months old now though. We're a bit past those initial issues. Not sure how long the depression can continue to be honest.

But it can be painful to try so hard and still feel like you did nothing. I'm only human. Trust me I loved his mother. Very much.

And I certainly wasn't perfect. Raising your first kid is quite the test of fortitude Admittedly.

19 months is still very young. PPD is not like a one month thing. Even if PPD isn't an issue, having a child can screw up the communication in your relationship. Hormones are a trip. They can mess you up and you don't even realize it.

Men have to go into it expecting the woman to change. If she doesn't, great. Things may remain exactly the same. Just don't expect that.

I remember being very sensitive, cranky, and mean after having my first child. I was on edge. I was paranoid that something was going to happen to the baby. I was tired. I didn't want to be bothered with my husband. He became annoying to me. I didn't have PPD but a lot of things changed that first year.

Eventually I got back to normal. And when we had our second child we were prepared to deal with any communication issues that might pop up. But I will say it was much better the second time.

However, I was probably very rude, irrational, and unbecoming after having my first child. But I needed support, understanding, and a whooooooole lot of patience of my husbands end. He had to learn not to take it personally and I had to learn that I needed to be careful how I treated him.

So if any men out there are expecting a child, please take note and prepare to be patient and loving. You can't take it personally because it is not personal.

Are white female bodies that dramatically different than Black female bodies? :ld:

Because you would be hard pressed to find a sexually active white chick that's not on birth control and they appear fine. But the way y'all tell it, a Black female going on BC is an automatic death sentence or damn near torture . While it's true some females (of any race) are at risk for health problems...this sounds more like wild fear mongering and shifting of the responsibility of birth control exclusively to males.

@marcuz got it right, more (Black) women should embrace and use the many BC options available to them.

exactly, got these white girls thats been on BC since 14 and they arent having all these complications. BW just create a bunch of excuses because BC trumps their ability to trap a man with an unwanted kid.
