Me and my sister went thru all that shyt in the 80s until we got rescued by my granny. After that she kept us comfortable until we left the house. At an early age I vowed to never come close to being poor. My daughter has never experienced nothing close to what I lived through before the age of 8.

Power Constantly shut off
Using an extension cord from a neighbor for power
Sub standard food or no food
Rats and roaches
Living with various friends and relatives
Dirty clothes
Drug selling and addicted parents

Although I ain’t grow up dirt poor, I do appreciate the times the lights was out, the busted shoes, furnace is out in November, trips to the food bank, hand me down clothes etc.

I’m nowhere rich now but I’m comfortable and I never worry about money anymore. Paid off car, no debt, stable job, decent apartment I’m blessed.

Going thru them experiences as a shorty just makes me value what I have right now 10x more

OP is right

Want your child to be a criminal, keep them in a house with a lack of food and force feed them shyt they don’t like for survival.
