Two Filipino (or any race) kids calling themselves nikka to one another has nothing to do with me. You say anything to me in the wrong tone or context and it could be an issue, nikka included but running around policing the word nikka, expecting people to censor themselves when they rap a long with songs that have the word nikka in them a mile a minute, is stupid.
I'm not about to fight for my right to nikkadom, especially in the context where in which I'm supposed to feel offended and degraded or like I'm being pushed as the face of ignorance, I'm cool on investing any energy into that.
Yeah exactly. Running around to police the word nikka is too much energy unless someone is coming at you on some negative shyt, or if it's a random ass person you don't know.
Thats different, thats the equivalant of family business. If your people really of the culture like that they know when to use it. Non black homies aint going to be throwing it around when yall are around other black people.Or put you in a position where black people who are uncomfortable with it,are looking at you crazy for allowing non blacks to call you nikka. Most non blacks AINT that solid or of that background, which is why they are denied with me at least.
Yeah its not like any random non black can say that shyt. But you know, I had samoan, latino and cac homies i played football and other sports with for like 10 years. Like you said that's sort've like family business. But yeah, if a random non black I dont know comes up to me like "sup my nikka!!!" i dont care if its not ill intentions, im checking him for that shyt. At this point though even my cool non-black homies who used to say nikka, rarely say nikka now. I think it's a phase non-blacks who are into black culture go through when they are a teenager and early 20s. Then you grow out if it because you know you look and sound stupid
