The Clippers had the momentum to change things around in the league after the racist Sterling got exposed to the public, and they didn't do anything about it but threw their sweet suit on the middle of the court. Them silly nikkas helped their master made an extra 10 million in the postseason.:mjlol: And now, they want to protest after Masta made millions off their dumbass:russ:
yeah fukk those black nikkas

If you want to get on them for ever playing for Sterling then, fine, but I didn't see a single thread on here or :hamster: calling out players/coaches for working for Sterling. All this militant talk from coli posters started after the tape was released.
Yea you nikkas need to pipe down with all the rash decision making, why make a decision now when the season doesnt start for a few months.

CP3 aint out here to appease you keyboard warriors, give him a chance to make an informed decision once shyt plays out

That is the problem with the NBA, they should never have a player be the president for the players. Realistically Chris Paul is a star NBA player who is going to be spending the majority of his time playing basketball and practicing basketball...put him in a room full of lawyers and he is going to get eaten alive...

The players president should be some sort of grimey take no prisoners lawyer type.

The players REALLY missed a golden opportunity to take a ton of control from the owners. If they had boycotted right in the middle of the most exciting playoff games in a LONG time, maybe ever, with all the money the NBA would have lost...the players could have basically written their own CBA.

As it stands now...Sterling will bog the league down in litigation, the players will do nothing, AND Silver is going to rape them in the next CBA (Silver was the primary lawyer who raped them in the current CBA).

This shouldn't be a surprise though. Black athletes often do not see themselves or get treated like regular black people. One of the main reason's why the players didn't boycott is probably because all of their white agents, and accountants, and media relations people were telling them "hey man you are just a basketball player, let the courts and league handle this, don't boycott for "these people"..."these people" wouldn't boycott for you."

C/S. i recall there was an article/report about how the players were supposed to meet up during the all star break to discuss import issues/strategies pertaining to the pending lockout... but how barely anyone showed up to it. On one hand, I smh.. but on the other hand... i realize that it may be like trying to schedule a non-mandatory 'work meeting' during the only vacation time an employee gets that year. So while i feel the players have to show up to those meetings, I also feel the planning has to be better than that.. it can't be in the middle of the season where they all finally get a breather from work but perhaps, say, at the start of training camp where everyone is refreshed and the workload/travel hasn't started yet.

Even then, that still goes back to the bigger issue you pointed out of having someone like chris paul (or derrick fisher.. and however many before them) being the player president(s) yet, i imagine, having no semblance of a law degree or legal background. Silva is an 'entertainment lawyer' and i'm sure he has his crew of conventional lawyers to roll with him.. plus he has years of reading through/understanding the bold print of the NBA constitution... Chris Paul can't do anything against that. The NBPA would need a well-versed, seasoned practitioner in (entertainment) law who could go toe-to-toe with the commissioner/owners.. while also strategically implementing stronger pathways of communication to the players (like not trying to meet during the all star break) and outlining steps agreed upon to take to curve the blow of a lockout or work stoppage, long before that time comes. Like how certain players opted to play overseas during the last lockout, so someone who could explore just how streamlined a process like that could be (not suggesting that as a realistic solution, but just as an example).

Granted, that's what Billy Hunter was supposed to be I guess, but clearly/evidently there was some shady unethical shyt happening there involving him and Fisher... which was disappointing given that they were the black leaders entrusted to hold it down yet things never appeared that organized with them, from the outside looking in anyway.

First of all I agree with you.

Second, why the fukk did you neg me in the other thread about Doc when you basically agreeing with what I said?

:stopitslime:
Because the yall yall talk was an endictment on everyone and was just a generally shytty post.

This topic has brought out the absolute worst in "c00n" labeling ive ever seen on the coli

And @Absolut, no disrespect but no white dude should say these guys' reaction is disingenuine when in reality almost every black person alive knows their boss, if they have one, is likely a racist good ol boy. The decision by the doc is deeper than "i heard he's racist, i'll never be a clipper again."

There is a 'final straw' and this was it.

Those fags had acres of leverage and stood around waiting for a sign to tell them what to do.

But like true bytches they got their asses on the court and played because they know where their bread is buttered. And they damn sure didn't wanna fukk up their $ and piss off the Sterns/Steins/Baums, etc who really run shyt but had no issue with hanging a "rogue" member out to dry. All Sterling did was potentially fukk up the NBA's long money so the league was cool with pushing him out.

But anyone with half a brain could see that he wasn't gonna sell without a fight as if the team was a fukking used car or something. Cats like him use the franchise as a vanity piece, money washer and a vehicle to bounce writeoffs upon. He could care less about bball just like the McCourts could've cared less about the Dodgers since the team was basically an ATM to them.

Babylon wins again I guess

LOL @ you fake millitants having a timetable on THEIR response to THEIR employer. Get the fukk outta here...if they don't play next year the response will still be very loud and the nba will react accordingly.
Exactly. Yeah it would've sent a stronger message in the playoffs but this is going to resonate very well if they do sit out

The owners will sit and do nothing. They locked the players out do you think they are really worried about a player boycott? Marginal and easily replaceable players will have their contracts voided and possibly be blackballed.

it just rings hollow after all these years. his bigotry was mainstream. he was telling elgin fukking baylor he wanted a plantation like work environment. he was being sued for years before doc and blake and cp3 chose to play there. the tapes surface, and you STILL go out and play for the team this man owns. next offseason you threaten a boycott? its a good thing people in previous generations didnt have that "lets wait on it before we stand up for ourselves" attitude
Chris Paul is the main person I'm disappointed at. You're the NBA Players President. When the audios dropped, he should have been front and center protesting.

those bytches shoulda done that in the playoffs instead of wearing their warmups inside out
Precisely.

Chris Paul was acting like CLIFF Paul.

They blew a golden opportunity to make a statement and instead went out there and got EMBARRASSED while Sterling is prancing around town not giving ANY fukks.

How is it being a fake militant to say that its easy to talk big during the offseason when there's no pressure but when it was time to act CP didn't really do shyt....that's not being a fake militant that's bringing up facts. Who's gonna believe that the clipper players are actually gonna boycott now when they already had a chance to but didn't.....actions speak louder than words and until we actually see actions its nothing but empty words from Doc and Chris :manny:

It was a general statement directed towards the ones who were quick gunning and calling people c00ns. I was calling them out. What you expect me @ everyone I was referring to?

Ain't nobody got time for that
