Adam Sandler isnt pushed the way Hollywood pushes Kevin as if he a new GOAT.

"witness the rise of a legend" :camby:
Kev the black Seinfeld, safe and do numbers but mediocre. I'll admit Kev's first two specials are good tho, not timeless but they get the job done.
Kev funded his tour and movie himself. Kev pushed Kev. Hollywood distributes it. I don't find a lot of his stuff funny, but he's got his business in order. I respect that.

I like Chris Rock.

I like Dave Chappelle.

Bring the Pain is probably my favorite standup ever. It wasn't the first that I ever saw, but it was the first I saw as a teen. That age where I first started understanding the intricate details of jokes and not just laughing at slapstick and punchlines. Dave has a dope way of creating a mood and getting you to put your guard down before breaking you off with a slick punchline. Rock is more energetic. I enjoyed Chappelle's show more than the Chris Rock show, but I loved them both.

You can appreciate both guys whole heartedly. I wouldn't miss either one of their movies, or specials.

Different styles of the same genre of comedy.

Dave Chappelle stand up is average as fukk. The Chappelle show made it where everybody overrated Chappeles overall skills. Who the fukk was talking about Dave Chappelle stand up BEFORE his show was on? Makes me think that HYPE is a major influencer when ppl rate comedy. See: Hannibal Burress
It's like people are programmed to laugh cause it's Dave Chappelle , that Bradley cooper shyt wasn't even funny and the audience all like :bryan:

This isn't true at least in my circle growing up we enjoyed him and I remember seeing him on I think Carson daily and finding out he was getting a show. I told my brother and my friends we was hype that he was getting the show and watched from the start.

How many of you have seen Dave Chappelle live post-Chappelle show? I've seen him twice and caught another show someone recorded in YouTube and all of them were at least an hour, completely different, and hilarious. That's 3 different comedy special level hours and he probably has more, since he's constantly touring. Forget the show, his standup is unmatched.

I love Chris Rock's classic specials, but his last one was average at best.

And Kevin Hart & Katt Williams have both called Chappelle the best comedian alive.

Also, fukk outta here with Eddie Griffin.

Chris Rock is average as fukk as easily the worst of the great comedians. Dave Chapelle may have be the best comedian ever.

Richard Pryor said this before he died, so any moron tryna put Rock over Chapelle is an idiot.

Rock wouldn't even agree with this garbage thread.
