Its all about perception my friend. Some people see these type of events as luck or human will, but if you believe in a higher power such as I do, then you'd attribute these types of happenings to that power. People have car accidents and die everyday. The odds are against me if I'm in a car accident as many do not come out unscathed. I give praise to Jesus the Christ because I choose to do so if my life is spared. However you perceive the situation is on you. You want to count it as luck or your own basic maneuvering, so be it. But there is a power that has control over everything.

Kind sir, let's back up a bit because I believe that you are taking my question and misconstruing it.

The original post concerns God's ability to directly interject to save a person from harm.

My simple question is, why does God interject to save some people...but fail to interject in saving others? I understand that we all die. But we die in vastly different manners. Dying in a fire after a car crash is a little different than dying of old age surrounded by loved ones. Why does God interject to save some people (and enable them to live a long life) but not others (and forcing them to die painfully in a fiery car crash)?


Let us be gentlemen in our responses to each other, kind sir.

Because death must come to all eventually. The timing or manner of one's death is all predetermined by God Himself. The moment we are born, we begin dying. True it is unfortunate that a newborn can be born and die 3 days later and at the same time, somebody in the world is having their 97th birthday. These are things that even I don't have the answer to but I've come to accept them.

The Bible does tell us that the sun shines on the good and evil and also the rain falls on the just and unjust. Would you rather every man not see death? Or would you rather we all die the same way at the same time?

People such as yourself, question and refuse a thing of which they cannot understand and that is the natural way of man. We desire to know the reason behind everything and if we cannot find an answer to that reason, we call it foolish or untrue.

yeah, i can see that. jesus was pretty humble n all that, living like him

but this is just my opinion. if you look at all things considered, every human who's ever existed, all the terrible shyt thats taken place on this planet. for a person to believe that theyre on a first-name basis with the creator of the universe, and that he actually cares about the insignificant things that go on and happen in their daily life it doesnt get much more arrogant than that. the thought of it actually being true is delusion at the highest level
