Let me explain to you why a lot of religious people fit the description.
Anti-ridicule: Any time someone makes a claim about something as silly as a personal deity or magic, it's subject to scrutiny and is oftentimes found to be completely baseless and illogical. To counteract that, many religious people accept that ridicule is a given for their "righteous" stance and so they accuse the ridiculers as being blinded, misled, influenced by the Devil etc. This in turn feeds into their
Persecution complex: All of this can be found in the Bible and other "holy" books. The martyrs and prophets who were persecuted for serving their god are hailed as heroes. So when a person ridicules a believer for their nonsense, this feeds into that persecution complex and they feel validated in their erroneous beliefs
Smug superiority: When a person feels like they have a personal relationship with God, they look down on, and sometimes even feel pity for, those they feel don't. The overconfidence and condescension is staggering. Instead of speaking logically, they act as if they have all the answers and that those who see it for what it really is "lack faith" or "need to grow spiritually"
Arrogant overcompensating: The idea that a deity exists and cares about you personally, or the idea that you have the correct interpretation of God out of all the thousands of interpretations, is arrogant. Many overcompensate by plunging even deeper into their delusions when facing doubt. They strive to be even more faithful and devout instead of seeing if their doubts have any merit. If they were really as correct in their beliefs as they think they are, they would not need to be afraid of doubt or scrutiny
And you don't give a damn about the truth because, if you did, there's no reason for you to believe in God
