Yea because she is a christian and you stay talking about christianity and she returned home to the land of Vodou...you should be in agreement with me.

Ciara is gonna be on some missionary shyt...I'm shocked YOU ain't peeped that....your rebuttal is weird as fukk.
First off, Benin is the land of Vodun, not Vodou lol.

They’re not the same, plus mambo ain’t even a title in West Africa lmao.

There are already Christians in Benin, so to make her being Christian and fearmongering the FIRST thing to say when her Ancestors were enslaved when she returns to her Ancestral land in Benin is weird.
I have no beef with dude. I always supported him in his posts to out Christianity. So I made a posting which he would be inline with and ol boy got offended.

Ciara is a Jesus freak that married another Jesus freak and she went to the Vodou/Vodun/Voodoo capital of the world and became a citizen. Them folk ain't like Haitians or Louisiana folk ..it's their National Recognized Religion. I'm more than certain she Geauxin over there and gonna be on some missionary shyt. I know it.
Now you just straight up lyin talkin bout being offended.

I believe returning to Ancestral land in Africa is a BIRTHRIGHT to Black ppl with enslaved Ancestors, regardless of their religion.

My stance on Abrahamic religions being a cancer to Black ppl, and Christian Missionary work being passive enslavement of Black ppl doesn’t negate that fact.

A Black person with enslaved Ancestors returning to Africa I’m goin to applaud FIRST.

I’m going to say something positive about FIRST.

If you don’t see it that way, that’s your business.

I just think it’s weird not to say sumn positive about it first.

Miss me with any lies talkin bout I’m “offended” because I focus on her being a descendant of enslaved ppl returning to her Ancestral land that she was STOLEN from as an act of justice that should be positively acknowledged FIRST.

Your body can return to the land but if your spirit is not with you in the land, there is no purpose in your actions.

That has jack shyt to do with the fact that these people openly embrace Vodun and have a set day in their GOVT doctrines to celebrate Vodun :unimpressed:

Don't worry about this breh. Most ppl in Benin worship white jesus like we do at home. Cacs forcibly liberated Benins from their cultural religions a while ago. They're deliveredt.

The sad truth is that there are no white people in Torahs, Bibles or Korans. Even the book of Coming Forth By Day Or Night/Book Of The Dead second edition was published 4100 years before the common era. The recessive genetic hybrid we now call whites, are roughly 5500 years old. That term culture vulture devil is deeper than any threat.

Ol boy being pedantic as fukk, meanwhile I'm being pragmatic

That dude is arguing form over function. Im talking about cultural continuity, diasporic expression, and how we label roles here in the States, not what the title is in Benin. That’s the problem: you are being dogmatic and rigid @ReasonableMatic and trying to gatekeep terminology, but missing the lived fluidity of how African traditions transform and survive across time and geography.

So yes, in Benin the title mambo doesn’t exist.

But once that tradition migrates, gets practiced in New Orleans, Harlem, Houston, Oakland, wherever.....it gets recontextualized in Black American frameworks.

If a Black woman initiates in Vodun in Benin, then returns to America and becomes a spiritual leader or serves community ritual functions in that line, she gon’ be seen as a Mambo by the folks here who grew up in that diasporic language.

I swear y'all reading comprehension :mjcry:

You my mans still tho....
