You're not listening to what I'm saying

Diddy has nothing at all to do with distribution. He doesn't have a majority stake in anything regarding Ciroc

He's out. Ciroc is literally still being distributed. Right now.
If Combs Wines and Spirits doesn't own a stake in the brand, I'll recant my statement. It's been my understanding this was under his holding company.

Anyone who says Diddy owns ciroc is saying the distribution is through Diageo. That's how distribution deals work. It doesn't mean you don't have ownership in the brand.

He needs to find a new distributor now, and what I'm assuming is manufacturing because he put so little money up front. Maybe the original creators manufacture. I don't know the specifics of the deal, but once he has that distribution again can sell to General Warehouse, Binny's, Liquor Emporium, Walmart, Target again. The problem is it's probably going to be even more unfavorable because he or his company is going to have to reestablish those distribution channels. That doesn't mean he doesn't own it. He just doesn't have the avenues to sell it again.

It's like this...you can make a movie...but if you don't have the relationships with AMC, Regal, Marcus Theatres, Movie Tavern, Netflix, Amazon, Red Box...it doesn't matter if you own 50% or 100%...you have no way to get it to the general public. That's what sounds like is happening here.
Wtf are you talking about? Ciroc existed before Diddy came into the picture. Diddy has no stake in the distribution or manufacturing of Ciroc. None. He gets paid off the sales of Ciroc like any salesman, he gets a commission.

He owns a half of DeLeon. That’s where his beef with Diageo stems from. He felt that his tequila wasn’t be pushed hard enough by Diageo and being marketed as an “urban” while casamigo is seen as a premier tequila all-around and not just black folks drinking it.

They rich af but nonetheless, they are highly paid employees. They call no shots and own none of the infrastructure it takes they may even own the name but nothing more. They get paid to be the face. But I don't want to sound hater-ish. But they got ppl damn near worshipping them because of this bullshyt. But he'll be fine tho.

Nothing about being deep. Just hate these narratives about Black men at the top being workers ans having no ownership because they don't have 100% of a business's.
The problem is these dudes are not at the top and are glorified, well paid, mascots/employees.

If we were talking about Dangote or Bob Johnson, it would've been another discussion.

Have these splits ever worked out for the holding company
Who is buying Ciroc if Diddy is no longer associated with it and goes on a campaign to demonize it?
If they rebrand they start from square 1 marketing wise. Seems like it would be worth working out whatever the differences are unless it just makes financial sense to bush the brand
