Also didn’t notice if it was mentioned yet but Monoco and Noco were the names of Verso’s two dogs. You can see their names on their collar in the painting.
I saw someone else mention that esquié was the name of one of his toys but I didn’t catch that in the game.

also, how much time in the painting counts for time in the real world? :jbhmm: because Clea could've dropped in to wrap up Aline and Renoir's struggle between moving clothes from the washer to the dryer

"you'll die if you stay here :mjcry:" doesn't math at all
I assume it can't be no more than a few days. The only thing I can equate to dying in the painting is two things. You're not hydrating or receiving food, or the amount of chroma you need to stay sufficient within the canvas. I found a good explantation video on timeline of events, and it makes more sense to me now. It's hard to say if there's a true villain in this story... more like different people trying to figure out ways to fix their and repair their family.

exorbitant legal fees
I don’t know if this was asked before, but Journal entry 56 suggests that they caught Alicia and were going to force her to talk. Did I miss what happened with that?

Yeah, Monoco is supposed to be Verso’s dog. Thats why he collects the enemies legs, and why he’s so loyal to him.

maelle is holding verso’s toy of esquie at the end

This is the one part im not clear on at all because Maelle spent 16 years in the canvas and Renoir and Aline, almost a whole life time.

So when verso is talking about “i used to do this before the fracture” is he talking about stuf from the real verso in the real world or is he talking about stuff from inside the canvas?

Is there a world in the canvas before the fracture?

I thought the fracture was what started all of this?

The fracture started when verso died and the mom entered the canvas. Thats also when Clea created the Nevrons

remember this painting has existed since verso was a child

Who did you choose and who do you think was right?

After thinking about it for two weeks i guess the obvious answer is verso but it kinda defeats the purpose of the game if you choose that ending.
Maelle just cuz

Considering how layered and well written the game was top to bottom I gotta ask....

Did Maelle even care about the real Verso like that? Because she definitely talks about everyone more than him :jbhmm: even in Painted Verso's ending, she's clearly more sad about the party than her actual brother

i assume her keeping verso alive despite his own wishes was that she could have the life she wanted with her brother she can’t have in the real world

nah. like the real verso

considering how much dialogue is placed on literally every other character, maelle says almost nothing about the real verso comparitively.

aline is devastated at every point, each version of renoir needs him, clea is willing to put Maelle in limbo (or hell depending on how you see it) to run the fade (and maelle legit respects her for it which is crazier)

but the real verso and maelle? she comes off feeling more guilty about what happened or seeing it damage her family than having *any* attachment to him.

the painted verso was a liar several times over and legit let the only brother she legitimately mourned die :patrice: how is a creation gonna lie to its god and not see eternal torment for it. we've seen maelle at a funeral twice.

which one had the most weight :patrice:
