The entire Quiks Groove series is amazing and no producer has really come close to matching that vibe since. I always wondered why producers don't let some of their hardest beats just ride out with no lyrics. Quik was stretching it out on some old school shyt

We kinda ended up in the same boat. I bought it and took it home. Had it for a few weeks. Then I guess my mom was going through my shyt one day. Tossed the tape in the trash
I'm sure she saw "Sweet Black p*ssy" as the first track on the album and was like

even the albums that aren't classic, are still some good music. quik got 1 of the best catalogs in all of hip hop. only album i didn't care for was his last, the midnight life
