Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint are clear choices...

RD might not have had the immediate impact of other albums around the same time, but over time it's become one of the most respected East Coast rap albums. It's influenced many emcees since then, been sampled a billion times, etc.

Blueprint is obvious
Gotta put an * next to The Black Album (:lupe:)

I got Blueprint and RD as classics. My two fav Jigga albums and you can't argue their quality and cultural impact. My 3rd is American Gangster. That album is so smooth and cohesive and was sort of Jay's return to form lyrically. I'll forever feel Black Album is slightly overrated. Dope album but I don't feel it's as great as some consider it and a lot of the hype it generated was because of Jay's retirement propaganda.

btw guys just a notice that voting ends in 2 days

when the thread is working as quickly as this one is, I will usually keep the poll open for 2 days, but will extend for times when voting isn't as frequent. the MORE votes the better.

I actually think TBA was more of a return to form before AG. TBA wasn't necessarily RD level of lyricism but it was awfully close. I think Jay-Z was at his most complete on that album. But The Blueprint is more of a classic in the sense of influence. And yeah AG stays underrated. Great album.
